GENESIS 28 17 And he was AFRAID, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven. GENESIS 31 31 And Jacob answered and said to Laban, Because I was AFRAID: for I said, Peradventure thou wouldest take by force thy daughters from me. GENESIS 32 7 Then Jacob was greatly AFRAID and distressed: and he divided the people that was with him, and the flocks, and herds, and the camels, into two bands; GENESIS 42 28 And he said unto his brethren, My money is restored; and, lo, it is even in my sack: and their heart failed them, and they were AFRAID, saying one to another, What is this that God hath done unto us? 35 And it came to pass as they emptied their sacks, that, behold, every man's bundle of money was in his sack: and when both they and their father saw the bundles of money, they were AFRAID. GENESIS 43 18 And the men were AFRAID, because they were brought into Joseph's house; and they said, Because of the money that was returned in our sacks at the first time are we brought in; that he may seek occasion against us, and fall upon us, and take us for bondmen, and our asses. EXODUS 3 6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was AFRAID to look upon God. EXODUS 6 18 And the sons of Kohath; AMRAM, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel: and the years of the life of Kohath were an hundred thirty and three years. 20 And AMRAM took him Jochebed his father's sister to wife; and she bare him Aaron and Moses: and the years of the life of AMRAM were an hundred and thirty and seven years. EXODUS 14 10 And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore AFRAID: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD. EXODUS 15 14 The people shall hear, and be AFRAID: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina. EXODUS 16 23 And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy SABBATH unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning. 25 And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a SABBATH unto the LORD: to day ye shall not find it in the field. 26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the SABBATH, in it there shall be none. 29 See, for that the LORD hath given you the SABBATH, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day. EXODUS 20 8 Remember the SABBATH day, to keep it holy. 10 But the seventh day is the SABBATH of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the SABBATH day, and hallowed it. EXODUS 31 14 Ye shall keep the SABBATH therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the SABBATH of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the SABBATH day, he shall surely be put to death. 16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the SABBATH, to observe the SABBATH throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. EXODUS 34 30 And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were AFRAID to come nigh him. EXODUS 35 2 Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a SABBATH of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death. 3 Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the SABBATH day. LEVITICUS 16 31 It shall be a SABBATH of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever. LEVITICUS 23 3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the SABBATH of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the SABBATH of the LORD in all your dwellings. 11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the SABBATH the priest shall wave it. 15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the SABBATH, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: 16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh SABBATH shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD. 24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a SABBATH, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. 32 It shall be unto you a SABBATH of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your SABBATH. 39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a SABBATH, and on the eighth day shall be a SABBATH. LEVITICUS 24 8 Every SABBATH he shall set it in order before the LORD continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant. LEVITICUS 25 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a SABBATH unto the LORD. 4 But in the seventh year shall be a SABBATH of rest unto the land, a SABBATH for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard. 6 And the SABBATH of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee. LEVITICUS 26 6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you AFRAID: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land. DEUTERONOMY 1 17 Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be AFRAID of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it. 29 Then I said unto you, Dread not, neither be AFRAID of them. DEUTERONOMY 2 4 And command thou the people, saying, Ye are to pass through the coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir; and they shall be AFRAID of you: take ye good heed unto yourselves therefore: DEUTERONOMY 5 5 (I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD: for ye were AFRAID by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying, 12 Keep the SABBATH day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee. 14 But the seventh day is the SABBATH of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou. 15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the SABBATH day. --MORE-- |
