NUMBERS 1 49 Only thou SHALT not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel: 50 But thou SHALT appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle. NUMBERS 3 9 And thou SHALT give the Levites unto Aaron and to his sons: they are wholly given unto him out of the children of Israel. 10 And thou SHALT appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest's office: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death. 15 Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward SHALT thou number them. 19 And the sons of Kohath by their families; AMRAM, and Izehar, Hebron, and Uzziel. 41 And thou SHALT take the Levites for me (I am the LORD) instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel. 47 Thou SHALT even take five shekels apiece by the poll, after the shekel of the sanctuary SHALT thou take them: (the shekel is twenty gerahs:) 48 And thou SHALT give the money, wherewith the odd number of them is to be redeemed, unto Aaron and to his sons. NUMBERS 4 23 From thirty years old and upward until fifty years old SHALT thou number them; all that enter in to perform the service, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation. 29 As for the sons of Merari, thou SHALT number them after their families, by the house of their fathers; 30 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old SHALT thou number them, every one that entereth into the service, to do the work of the tabernacle of the congregation. NUMBERS 7 5 Take it of them, that they may be to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; and thou SHALT give them unto the Levites, to every man according to his service. NUMBERS 8 7 And thus SHALT thou do unto them, to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean. 8 Then let them take a young bullock with his meat offering, even fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock SHALT thou take for a sin offering. 9 And thou SHALT bring the Levites before the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou SHALT gather the whole assembly of the children of Israel together: 10 And thou SHALT bring the Levites before the LORD: and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites: 12 And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and thou SHALT offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, unto the LORD, to make an atonement for the Levites. 13 And thou SHALT set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering unto the LORD. 14 Thus SHALT thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine. 15 And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou SHALT cleanse them, and offer them for an offering. 26 But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus SHALT thou do unto the Levites touching their charge. NUMBERS 10 2 Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece SHALT thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps. NUMBERS 11 23 And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD's hand waxed short? thou SHALT see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not. NUMBERS 12 8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not AFRAID to speak against my servant Moses? NUMBERS 14 15 Now if thou SHALT kill all this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of thee will speak, saying, NUMBERS 15 5 And the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering SHALT thou prepare with the burnt offering or sacrifice, for one lamb. 6 Or for a ram, thou SHALT prepare for a meat offering two tenth deals of flour mingled with the third part of an hin of oil. 7 And for a drink offering thou SHALT offer the third part of an hin of wine, for a sweet savour unto the LORD. 10 And thou SHALT bring for a drink offering half an hin of wine, for an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD. NUMBERS 17 3 And thou SHALT write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers. 4 And thou SHALT lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you. 10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron's rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and thou SHALT quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not. NUMBERS 18 10 In the most holy place SHALT thou eat it; every male shall eat it: it shall be holy unto thee. 15 Every thing that openeth the matrix in all flesh, which they bring unto the LORD, whether it be of men or beasts, shall be thine: nevertheless the firstborn of man SHALT thou surely redeem, and the firstling of unclean beasts SHALT thou redeem. 16 And those that are to be redeemed from a month old SHALT thou redeem, according to thine estimation, for the money of five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs. 17 But the firstling of a cow, or the firstling of a sheep, or the firstling of a goat, thou SHALT not redeem; they are holy: thou SHALT sprinkle their blood upon the altar, and SHALT burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a sweet savour unto the LORD. 20 And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Thou SHALT have no inheritance in their land, neither SHALT thou have any part among them: I am thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel. 30 Therefore thou SHALT say unto them, When ye have heaved the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as the increase of the threshingfloor, and as the increase of the winepress. NUMBERS 20 8 Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou SHALT bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou SHALT give the congregation and their beasts drink. 18 And Edom said unto him, Thou SHALT not pass by me, lest I come out against thee with the sword. 20 And he said, Thou SHALT not go through. And Edom came out against him with much people, and with a strong hand. NUMBERS 21 34 And the LORD said unto Moses, Fear him not: for I have delivered him into thy hand, and all his people, and his land; and thou SHALT do to him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon. NUMBERS 22 3 And Moab was sore AFRAID of the people, because they were many: and Moab was distressed because of the children of Israel. 12 And God said unto Balaam, Thou SHALT not go with them; thou SHALT not curse the people: for they are blessed. 20 And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto thee, that SHALT thou do. 35 And the angel of the LORD said unto Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou SHALT speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak. NUMBERS 23 5 And the LORD put a word in Balaam's mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou SHALT speak. 13 And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou SHALT see but the utmost part of them, and SHALT not see them all: and curse me them from thence. NUMBERS 26 54 To many thou SHALT give the more inheritance, and to few thou SHALT give the less inheritance: to every one shall his inheritance be given according to those that were numbered of him. 58 These are the families of the Levites: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, the family of the Korathites. And Kohath begat AMRAM. 59 And the name of AMRAM's wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, whom her mother bare to Levi in Egypt: and she bare unto AMRAM Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister. --MORE-- |
