DEUTERONOMY 18 4 The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the FLEECE of thy sheep, shalt thou give him. JUDGES 6 37 Behold, I will put a FLEECE of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the FLEECE only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. 38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the FLEECE together, and wringed the dew out of the FLEECE, a bowl full of water. 39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the FLEECE; let it now be dry only upon the FLEECE, and upon all the ground let there be dew. 40 And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the FLEECE only, and there was dew on all the ground. JOB 31 20 If his loins have not blessed me, and if he were not warmed with the FLEECE of my sheep; PSALM 88 12 Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of FORGETFULNESS? SONG OF SOLOMON 6 12 Or ever I was aware, my soul made me like the chariots of AMMINADIB. ISAIAH 24 15 Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the FIRES, even the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea. AMOS 1 1 The words of AMOS, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake. AMOS 7 8 And the LORD said unto me, AMOS, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the LORD, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more: 10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, AMOS hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words. 11 For thus AMOS saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land. 12 Also Amaziah said unto AMOS, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there: 14 Then answered AMOS, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit: AMOS 8 2 And he said, AMOS, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.
