HOSEA 4 17 EPHRAIM is joined to idols: let him alone. HOSEA 5 3 I know EPHRAIM, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O EPHRAIM, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled. 5 And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and EPHRAIM fall in their iniquity: Judah also shall fall with them. 9 EPHRAIM shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be. 11 EPHRAIM is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment. 12 Therefore will I be unto EPHRAIM as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness. 13 When EPHRAIM saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went EPHRAIM to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound. 14 For I will be unto EPHRAIM as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him. HOSEA 6 4 O EPHRAIM, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away. 10 I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom of EPHRAIM, Israel is defiled. HOSEA 7 1 When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of EPHRAIM was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without. 8 EPHRAIM, he hath mixed himself among the people; EPHRAIM is a cake not turned. 11 EPHRAIM also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria. HOSEA 8 9 For they are gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself: EPHRAIM hath hired lovers. 11 Because EPHRAIM hath made many altars to sin, altars shall be unto him to sin. HOSEA 9 3 They shall not dwell in the LORD's land; but EPHRAIM shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria. 8 The watchman of EPHRAIM was with my God: but the prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God. 11 As for EPHRAIM, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception. 13 EPHRAIM, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but EPHRAIM shall bring forth his children to the murderer. 16 EPHRAIM is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb. HOSEA 10 6 It shall be also carried unto Assyria for a present to king Jareb: EPHRAIM shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel. 11 And EPHRAIM is as an heifer that is taught, and loveth to tread out the corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make EPHRAIM to ride; Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods. HOSEA 11 3 I taught EPHRAIM also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them. 8 How shall I give thee up, EPHRAIM? how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together. 9 I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy EPHRAIM: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city. 12 EPHRAIM compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints. HOSEA 12 1 EPHRAIM feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt. 8 And EPHRAIM said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: in all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that were sin. 14 EPHRAIM provoked him to anger most bitterly: therefore shall he leave his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his LORD return unto him. HOSEA 13 1 When EPHRAIM spake trembling, he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in Baal, he died. 12 The iniquity of EPHRAIM is bound up; his sin is hid. HOSEA 14 8 EPHRAIM shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found. JOEL 2 13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the EVIL. AMOS 3 6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be EVIL in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? AMOS 5 13 Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is an EVIL time. 14 Seek good, and not EVIL, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken. 15 Hate the EVIL, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph. AMOS 6 3 Ye that put far away the EVIL day, and cause the seat of violence to come near; AMOS 9 4 And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for EVIL, and not for good. 10 All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The EVIL shall not overtake nor prevent us. OBADIAH 1 19 And they of the south shall possess the mount of Esau; and they of the plain the Philistines: and they shall possess the fields of EPHRAIM, and the fields of Samaria: and Benjamin shall possess Gilead. JONAH 1 7 And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this EVIL is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah. 8 Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this EVIL is upon us; What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou? JONAH 3 8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his EVIL way, and from the violence that is in their hands. 10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their EVIL way; and God repented of the EVIL, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not. JONAH 4 2 And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the EVIL. MICAH 1 12 For the inhabitant of Maroth waited carefully for good: but EVIL came down from the LORD unto the gate of Jerusalem. MICAH 2 1 Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work EVIL upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand. 3 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise an EVIL, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is EVIL. MICAH 3 2 Who hate the good, and love the EVIL; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones; 11 The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none EVIL can come upon us. --MORE-- |
