DEUTERONOMY 33 17 His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of EPHRAIM, and they are the thousands of Manasseh. DEUTERONOMY 34 2 And all Naphtali, and the land of EPHRAIM, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea, JOSHUA 14 4 For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and EPHRAIM: therefore they gave no part unto the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in, with their suburbs for their cattle and for their substance. JOSHUA 16 4 So the children of Joseph, Manasseh and EPHRAIM, took their inheritance. 5 And the border of the children of EPHRAIM according to their families was thus: even the border of their inheritance on the east side was Atarothaddar, unto Bethhoron the upper; 8 The border went out from Tappuah westward unto the river Kanah; and the goings out thereof were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of EPHRAIM by their families. 9 And the separate cities for the children of EPHRAIM were among the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages. JOSHUA 17 8 Now Manasseh had the land of Tappuah: but Tappuah on the border of Manasseh belonged to the children of EPHRAIM; 9 And the coast descended unto the river Kanah, southward of the river: these cities of EPHRAIM are among the cities of Manasseh: the coast of Manasseh also was on the north side of the river, and the outgoings of it were at the sea: 10 Southward it was EPHRAIM's, and northward it was Manasseh's, and the sea is his border; and they met together in Asher on the north, and in Issachar on the east. 15 And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down for thyself there in the land of the Perizzites and of the giants, if mount EPHRAIM be too narrow for thee. 17 And Joshua spake unto the house of Joseph, even to EPHRAIM and to Manasseh, saying, Thou art a great people, and hast great power: thou shalt not have one lot only: JOSHUA 19 50 According to the word of the LORD they gave him the city which he asked, even Timnathserah in mount EPHRAIM: and he built the city, and dwelt therein. JOSHUA 20 7 And they appointed Kedesh in Galilee in mount Naphtali, and Shechem in mount EPHRAIM, and Kirjatharba, which is Hebron, in the mountain of Judah. JOSHUA 21 5 And the rest of the children of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of EPHRAIM, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities. 20 And the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites which remained of the children of Kohath, even they had the cities of their lot out of the tribe of EPHRAIM. 21 For they gave them Shechem with her suburbs in mount EPHRAIM, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Gezer with her suburbs, JOSHUA 23 15 Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all EVIL things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you. JOSHUA 24 15 And if it seem EVIL unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. 30 And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnathserah, which is in mount EPHRAIM, on the north side of the hill of Gaash. 33 And Eleazar the son of Aaron died; and they buried him in a hill that pertained to Phinehas his son, which was given him in mount EPHRAIM. JUDGES 1 29 Neither did EPHRAIM drive out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwelt in Gezer among them. JUDGES 2 9 And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnathheres, in the mount of EPHRAIM, on the north side of the hill Gaash. 11 And the children of Israel did EVIL in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim: 15 Whithersoever they went out, the hand of the LORD was against them for EVIL, as the LORD had said, and as the LORD had sworn unto them: and they were greatly distressed. JUDGES 3 7 And the children of Israel did EVIL in the sight of the LORD, and forgat the LORD their God, and served Baalim and the groves. 12 And the children of Israel did EVIL again in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done EVIL in the sight of the LORD. 27 And it came to pass, when he was come, that he blew a trumpet in the mountain of EPHRAIM, and the children of Israel went down with him from the mount, and he before them. JUDGES 4 1 And the children of Israel again did EVIL in the sight of the LORD, when Ehud was dead. 5 And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount EPHRAIM: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment. JUDGES 5 14 Out of EPHRAIM was there a root of them against Amalek; after thee, Benjamin, among thy people; out of Machir came down governors, and out of Zebulun they that handle the pen of the writer. JUDGES 6 1 And the children of Israel did EVIL in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years. 37 Behold, I will put a FLEECE of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the FLEECE only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. 38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the FLEECE together, and wringed the dew out of the FLEECE, a bowl full of water. 39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the FLEECE; let it now be dry only upon the FLEECE, and upon all the ground let there be dew. 40 And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the FLEECE only, and there was dew on all the ground. JUDGES 7 24 And Gideon sent messengers throughout all mount EPHRAIM, saying, come down against the Midianites, and take before them the waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan. Then all the men of EPHRAIM gathered themselves together, and took the waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan. JUDGES 8 1 And the men of EPHRAIM said unto him, Why hast thou served us thus, that thou calledst us not, when thou wentest to fight with the Midianites? And they did chide with him sharply. 2 And he said unto them, What have I done now in comparison of you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of EPHRAIM better than the vintage of Abiezer? JUDGES 9 23 Then God sent an EVIL spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech: 57 And all the EVIL of the men of Shechem did God render upon their heads: and upon them came the curse of Jotham the son of Jerubbaal. JUDGES 10 1 And after Abimelech there arose to defend Israel Tola the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man of Issachar; and he dwelt in Shamir in mount EPHRAIM. 6 And the children of Israel did EVIL again in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the LORD, and served not him. 9 Moreover the children of Ammon passed over Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of EPHRAIM; so that Israel was sore distressed. JUDGES 12 1 And the men of EPHRAIM gathered themselves together, and went northward, and said unto Jephthah, Wherefore passedst thou over to fight against the children of Ammon, and didst not call us to go with thee? we will burn thine house upon thee with fire. 4 Then Jephthah gathered together all the men of Gilead, and fought with EPHRAIM: and the men of Gilead smote EPHRAIM, because they said, Ye Gileadites are fugitives of EPHRAIM among the Ephraimites, and among the Manassites. 15 And Abdon the son of Hillel the Pirathonite died, and was buried in Pirathon in the land of EPHRAIM, in the mount of the Amalekites. JUDGES 13 1 And the children of Israel did EVIL again in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years. JUDGES 17 1 And there was a man of mount EPHRAIM, whose name was Micah. 8 And the man departed out of the city from Bethlehemjudah to sojourn where he could find a place: and he came to mount EPHRAIM to the house of Micah, as he journeyed. --MORE-- |
