DEUTERONOMY 18 4 The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the FLEECE of thy sheep, shalt thou give him. JUDGES 6 37 Behold, I will put a FLEECE of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the FLEECE only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. 38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the FLEECE together, and wringed the dew out of the FLEECE, a bowl full of water. 39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the FLEECE; let it now be dry only upon the FLEECE, and upon all the ground let there be dew. 40 And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the FLEECE only, and there was dew on all the ground. 1 SAMUEL 14 50 And the name of Saul's wife was AHINOAM, the daughter of Ahimaaz: and the name of the captain of his host was Abner, the son of Ner, Saul's uncle. 1 SAMUEL 25 43 David also took AHINOAM of Jezreel; and they were also both of them his wives. 1 SAMUEL 27 3 And David dwelt with Achish at Gath, he and his men, every man with his household, even David with his two wives, AHINOAM the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the Carmelitess, Nabal's wife. 1 SAMUEL 30 5 And David's two wives were taken captives, AHINOAM the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite. 2 SAMUEL 2 2 So David went up thither, and his two wives also, AHINOAM the Jezreelitess, and Abigail Nabal's wife the Carmelite. 2 SAMUEL 3 2 And unto David were sons born in Hebron: and his firstborn was Amnon, of AHINOAM the Jezreelitess; 2 SAMUEL 17 25 And Absalom made AMASA captain of the host instead of Joab: which AMASA was a man's son, whose name was Ithra an Israelite, that went in to Abigail the daughter of Nahash, sister to Zeruiah Joab's mother. 2 SAMUEL 18 25 And the watchman cried, and told the king. And the king said, If he be alone, there is tidings in his mouth. And he came APACE, and drew near. 2 SAMUEL 19 13 And say ye to AMASA, Art thou not of my bone, and of my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if thou be not captain of the host before me continually in the room of Joab. 2 SAMUEL 20 4 Then said the king to AMASA, Assemble me the men of Judah within three days, and be thou here present. 5 So AMASA went to assemble the men of Judah: but he tarried longer than the set time which he had appointed him. 8 When they were at the great stone which is in Gibeon, AMASA went before them. And Joab's garment that he had put on was girded unto him, and upon it a girdle with a sword fastened upon his loins in the sheath thereof; and as he went forth it fell out. 9 And Joab said to AMASA, Art thou in health, my brother? And Joab took AMASA by the beard with the right hand to kiss him. 10 But AMASA took no heed to the sword that was in Joab's hand: so he smote him therewith in the fifth rib, and shed out his bowels to the ground, and struck him not again; and he died. So Joab and Abishai his brother pursued after Sheba the son of Bichri. 12 And AMASA wallowed in blood in the midst of the highway. And when the man saw that all the people stood still, he removed AMASA out of the highway into the field, and cast a cloth upon him, when he saw that every one that came by him stood still. 1 KINGS 2 5 Moreover thou knowest also what Joab the son of Zeruiah did to me, and what he did to the two captains of the hosts of Israel, unto Abner the son of Ner, and unto AMASA the son of Jether, whom he slew, and shed the blood of war in peace, and put the blood of war upon his girdle that was about his loins, and in his shoes that were on his feet. 32 And the LORD shall return his blood upon his own head, who fell upon two men more righteous and better than he, and slew them with the sword, my father David not knowing thereof, to wit, Abner the son of Ner, captain of the host of Israel, and AMASA the son of Jether, captain of the host of Judah. 1 CHRONICLES 2 17 And Abigail bare AMASA: and the father of AMASA was Jether the Ishmeelite. 1 CHRONICLES 3 1 Now these were the sons of David, which were born unto him in Hebron; the firstborn Amnon, of AHINOAM the Jezreelitess; the second Daniel, of Abigail the Carmelitess: 2 CHRONICLES 28 12 Then certain of the heads of the children of Ephraim, Azariah the son of Johanan, Berechiah the son of Meshillemoth, and Jehizkiah the son of Shallum, and AMASA the son of Hadlai, stood up against them that came from the war, JOB 31 20 If his loins have not blessed me, and if he were not warmed with the FLEECE of my sheep; PSALM 57 7 My heart is FIXED, O God, my heart is FIXED: I will sing and give praise. LUKE 16 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf FIXED: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. --END-- |
