And the king said unto the people, I will surely go forth with you myself also. 3 But the people answered, Thou shalt not go forth: for if we FLEE away, they will not care for us; neither if half of us die, will they care for us: but now thou art worth ten thousand of us: therefore now it is better that thou succour us out of the city. 12 And the man said unto Joab, Though I should receive a thousand shekels of silver in mine HAND, yet would I not put forth mine HAND against the king's son: for in our hearing the king charged thee and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Beware that none touch the young man Absalom. 14 Then said Joab, I may not tarry thus with thee. And he took three darts in his HAND, and thrust them through the heart of Absalom, while he was yet alive in the midst of the oak. 28 And Ahimaaz called, and said unto the king, All is well. And he fell down to the earth upon his face before the king, and said, Blessed be the LORD thy God, which hath delivered up the men that lifted up their HAND against my lord the king. 2 SAMUEL 19 3 And the people gat them by stealth that day into the city, as people being ashamed steal away when they FLEE in battle. 9 And all the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, The king saved us out of the HAND of our enemies, and he delivered us out of the HAND of the Philistines; and now he is fled out of the land for Absalom. 2 SAMUEL 20 9 And Joab said to Amasa, Art thou in health, my brother? And Joab took Amasa by the beard with the right HAND to kiss him. 10 But Amasa took no heed to the sword that was in Joab's HAND: so he smote him therewith in the fifth rib, and shed out his bowels to the ground, and struck him not again; and he died. So Joab and Abishai his brother pursued after Sheba the son of Bichri. 21 The matter is not so: but a man of mount Ephraim, Sheba the son of Bichri by name, hath lifted up his HAND against the king, even against David: deliver him only, and I will depart from the city. And the woman said unto Joab, Behold, his head shall be thrown to thee over the wall. 2 SAMUEL 21 20 And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every HAND six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant. 22 These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the HAND of David, and by the HAND of his servants. 2 SAMUEL 22 1 And David spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD had delivered him out of the HAND of all his enemies, and out of the HAND of Saul: 2 SAMUEL 23 10 He arose, and smote the Philistines until his HAND was weary, and his HAND clave unto the sword: and the LORD wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil. 21 And he slew an Egyptian, a goodly man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his HAND; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's HAND, and slew him with his own spear. 2 SAMUEL 24 13 So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou FLEE three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days' pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me. 14 And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the HAND of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the HAND of man. 16 And when the angel stretched out his HAND upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine HAND. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite. 17 And David spake unto the LORD when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let thine HAND, I pray thee, be against me, and against my father's house. --MORE-- |
