LAMENTATIONS 1 7 Jerusalem remembered in the days of her affliction and of her miseries all her pleasant things that she had in the days of old, when her people fell into the HAND of the enemy, and none did help her: the adversaries saw her, and did mock at her sabbaths. 10 The adversary hath spread out his HAND upon all her pleasant things: for she hath seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom thou didst command that they should not enter into thy congregation. 14 The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his HAND: they are wreathed, and come up upon my neck: he hath made my strength to fall, the LORD hath delivered me into their hands, from whom I am not able to rise up. LAMENTATIONS 2 3 He hath cut off in his fierce anger all the horn of Israel: he hath drawn back his right HAND from before the enemy, and he burned against Jacob like a flaming fire, which devoureth round about. 4 He hath bent his bow like an enemy: he stood with his right HAND as an adversary, and slew all that were pleasant to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of Zion: he poured out his fury like fire. 7 The LORD hath cast off his altar, he hath abhorred his sanctuary, he hath given up into the HAND of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have made a noise in the house of the LORD, as in the day of a solemn feast. 8 The LORD hath purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion: he hath stretched out a line, he hath not withdrawn his HAND from destroying: therefore he made the rampart and the wall to lament; they languished together. LAMENTATIONS 3 3 Surely against me is he turned; he turneth his HAND against me all the day. LAMENTATIONS 5 6 We have given the HAND to the Egyptians, and to the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread. 8 Servants have ruled over us: there is none that doth deliver us out of their HAND. 12 Princes are hanged up by their HAND: the faces of elders were not honoured. EZEKIEL 1 3 The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the HAND of the LORD was there upon him. EZEKIEL 2 9 And when I looked, behold, an HAND was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein; EZEKIEL 3 14 So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the HAND of the LORD was strong upon me. 18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine HAND. 20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine HAND. 22 And the HAND of the LORD was there upon me; and he said unto me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will there talk with thee. EZEKIEL 6 11 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Smite with thine HAND, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence. 14 So will I stretch out my HAND upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the LORD. EZEKIEL 8 1 And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the HAND of the Lord GOD fell there upon me. 3 And he put forth the form of an HAND, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy. 11 And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his HAND; and a thick cloud of incense went up. EZEKIEL 9 1 He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his HAND. 2 And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his HAND; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar. EZEKIEL 10 2 And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine HAND with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my sight. 7 And one cherub stretched forth his HAND from between the cherubims unto the fire that was between the cherubims, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen: who took it, and went out. 8 And there appeared in the cherubims the form of a man's HAND under their wings. EZEKIEL 13 9 And mine HAND shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD. 21 Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your HAND, and they shall be no more in your HAND to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. 23 Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your HAND: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. EZEKIEL 14 9 And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my HAND upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel. 13 Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine HAND upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it: EZEKIEL 16 27 Behold, therefore I have stretched out my HAND over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way. 39 And I will also give thee into their HAND, and they shall throw down thine eminent place, and shall break down thy high places: they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare. 46 And thine elder sister is Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at thy left HAND: and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right HAND, is Sodom and her daughters. 49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the HAND of the poor and needy. EZEKIEL 18 8 He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his HAND from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man, 17 That hath taken off his HAND from the poor, that hath not received usury nor increase, hath executed my judgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live. EZEKIEL 20 5 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine HAND unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up mine HAND unto them, saying, I am the LORD your God; 6 In the day that I lifted up mine HAND unto them, to bring them forth of the land of Egypt into a land that I had espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands: 15 Yet also I lifted up my HAND unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands; 22 Nevertheless I withdrew mine HAND, and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth. 23 I lifted up mine HAND unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries; 28 For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted up mine HAND to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering: there also they made their sweet savour, and poured out there their drink offerings. 33 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty HAND, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you: 34 And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty HAND, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out. 42 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine HAND to give it to your fathers. EZEKIEL 21 11 And he hath given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the HAND of the slayer. 16 Go thee one way or other, either on the right HAND, or on the left, whithersoever thy face is set. 22 At his right HAND was the divination for Jerusalem, to appoint captains, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint battering rams against the gates, to cast a mount, and to build a fort. 24 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, I say, that ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the HAND. 31 And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the HAND of brutish men, and skilful to destroy. --MORE-- |
