ISAIAH 5 25 Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his HAND against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his HAND is stretched out still. ISAIAH 9 12 The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his HAND is stretched out still. 17 Therefore the LORD shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his HAND is stretched out still. 20 And he shall snatch on the right HAND, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left HAND, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm: 21 Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his HAND is stretched out still. ISAIAH 10 3 And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye FLEE for help? and where will ye leave your glory? 4 Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his HAND is stretched out still. 5 O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their HAND is mine indignation. 10 As my HAND hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria; 13 For he saith, By the strength of my HAND I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man: 14 And my HAND hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped. 31 Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather themselves to FLEE. 32 As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his HAND against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem. ISAIAH 11 8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his HAND on the cockatrice' den. 11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his HAND again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. 14 But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their HAND upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them. 15 And the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his HAND over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod. ISAIAH 13 2 Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the HAND, that they may go into the gates of the nobles. 6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at HAND; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty. 14 And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and FLEE every one into his own land. ISAIAH 14 26 This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the HAND that is stretched out upon all the nations. 27 For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his HAND is stretched out, and who shall turn it back? ISAIAH 15 5 My heart shall cry out for Moab; his fugitives shall FLEE unto Zoar, an heifer of three years old: for by the mounting up of Luhith with weeping shall they go it up; for in the way of Horonaim they shall raise up a cry of destruction. ISAIAH 17 13 The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall FLEE far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. ISAIAH 19 4 And the Egyptians will I give over into the HAND of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts. 16 In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the HAND of the LORD of hosts, which he shaketh over it. ISAIAH 20 6 And the inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day, Behold, such is our expectation, whither we FLEE for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and how shall we escape? ISAIAH 22 21 And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his HAND: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah. ISAIAH 23 11 He stretched out his HAND over the sea, he shook the kingdoms: the LORD hath given a commandment against the merchant city, to destroy the strong holds thereof. ISAIAH 25 10 For in this mountain shall the HAND of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill. ISAIAH 26 11 LORD, when thy HAND is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them. ISAIAH 28 2 Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the HAND. 4 And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the hasty fruit before the summer; which when he that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his HAND he eateth it up. ISAIAH 30 16 But ye said, No; for we will FLEE upon horses; therefore shall ye FLEE: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift. 17 One thousand shall FLEE at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye FLEE: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill. 21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right HAND, and when ye turn to the left. ISAIAH 31 3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD shall stretch out his HAND, both he that helpeth shall fall, and he that is holpen shall fall down, and they all shall fail together. 8 Then shall the Assyrian fall with the sword, not of a mighty man; and the sword, not of a mean man, shall devour him: but he shall FLEE from the sword, and his young men shall be discomfited. ISAIAH 34 17 And he hath cast the lot for them, and his HAND hath divided it unto them by line: they shall possess it for ever, from generation to generation shall they dwell therein. ISAIAH 35 10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall FLEE away. ISAIAH 36 6 Lo, thou trustest in the staff of this broken reed, on Egypt; whereon if a man lean, it will go into his HAND, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that trust in him. 15 Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us: this city shall not be delivered into the HAND of the king of Assyria. 18 Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, the LORD will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the HAND of the king of Assyria? 19 Where are the gods of Hamath and Arphad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of my HAND? 20 Who are they among all the gods of these lands, that have delivered their land out of my HAND, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem out of my HAND? ISAIAH 37 10 Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God, in whom thou trustest, deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be given into the HAND of the king of Assyria. 14 And Hezekiah received the letter from the HAND of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up unto the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD. 20 Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his HAND, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD, even thou only. ISAIAH 38 6 And I will deliver thee and this city out of the HAND of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city. ISAIAH 40 2 Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's HAND double for all her sins. 10 Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong HAND, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. 12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his HAND, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? --MORE-- |
