ISAIAH 48 9 For my name's sake will I defer mine ANGER, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off. JEREMIAH 32 29 And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and poured out drink offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to ANGER. 30 For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done evil before me from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to ANGER with the work of their hands, saith the LORD. 31 For this city hath been to me as a provocation of mine ANGER and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face, 32 Because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to ANGER, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 37 Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, whither I have driven them in mine ANGER, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely: JEREMIAH 33 5 They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine ANGER and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city. JEREMIAH 36 7 It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the ANGER and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced against this people. LAMENTATIONS 2 1 How hath the LORD covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his ANGER, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his ANGER! 3 He hath cut off in his fierce ANGER all the horn of Israel: he hath drawn back his right hand from before the enemy, and he burned against Jacob like a flaming fire, which devoureth round about. 6 And he hath violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden: he hath destroyed his places of the assembly: the LORD hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of his ANGER the king and the priest. 21 The young and the old lie on the ground in the streets: my virgins and my young men are fallen by the sword; thou hast slain them in the day of thine ANGER; thou hast killed, and not pitied. 22 Thou hast called as in a solemn day my terrors round about, so that in the day of the LORD's ANGER none escaped nor remained: those that I have swaddled and brought up hath mine enemy consumed. LAMENTATIONS 3 43 Thou hast covered with ANGER, and persecuted us: thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied. 66 Persecute and destroy them in ANGER from under the heavens of the LORD. LAMENTATIONS 4 11 The LORD hath accomplished his fury; he hath poured out his fierce ANGER, and hath kindled a fire in Zion, and it hath devoured the foundations thereof. 16 The ANGER of the LORD hath divided them; he will no more regard them: they respected not the persons of the priests, they favoured not the elders. --MORE-- |
