JOSHUA 7 1 But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the ANGER of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel. 26 And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his ANGER. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day. JOSHUA 23 16 When ye have transgressed the covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the ANGER of the LORD be kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which he hath given unto you. JUDGES 2 12 And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to ANGER. 14 And the ANGER of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies. 20 And the ANGER of the LORD was hot against Israel; and he said, Because that this people hath transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice; JUDGES 3 8 Therefore the ANGER of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Chushanrishathaim eight years. JUDGES 6 37 Behold, I will put a FLEECE of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the FLEECE only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. 38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the FLEECE together, and wringed the dew out of the FLEECE, a bowl full of water. 39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine ANGER be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the FLEECE; let it now be dry only upon the FLEECE, and upon all the ground let there be dew. 40 And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the FLEECE only, and there was dew on all the ground. JUDGES 8 3 God hath delivered into your hands the princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb: and what was I able to do in comparison of you? Then their ANGER was abated toward him, when he had said that. JUDGES 9 30 And when Zebul the ruler of the city heard the words of Gaal the son of Ebed, his ANGER was kindled. JUDGES 10 7 And the ANGER of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hands of the children of Ammon. JUDGES 14 19 And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his ANGER was kindled, and he went up to his father's house. 1 SAMUEL 11 6 And the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard those tidings, and his ANGER was kindled greatly. 1 SAMUEL 17 28 And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's ANGER was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle. 1 SAMUEL 20 30 Then Saul's ANGER was kindled against Jonathan, and he said unto him, Thou son of the perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that thou hast chosen the son of Jesse to thine own confusion, and unto the confusion of thy mother's nakedness? 34 So Jonathan arose from the table in fierce ANGER, and did eat no meat the second day of the month: for he was grieved for David, because his father had done him shame. 2 SAMUEL 6 3 And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and AHIO, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart. 4 And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at Gibeah, accompanying the ark of God: and AHIO went before the ark. 7 And the ANGER of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God. 2 SAMUEL 12 5 And David's ANGER was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die: 2 SAMUEL 24 1 And again the ANGER of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah. 1 KINGS 7 15 For he cast two pillars of brass, of eighteen cubits high APIECE: and a line of twelve cubits did compass either of them about. 1 KINGS 14 9 But hast done evil above all that were before thee: for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to provoke me to ANGER, and hast cast me behind thy back: 15 For the LORD shall smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water, and he shall root up Israel out of this good land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the river, because they have made their groves, provoking the LORD to ANGER. 1 KINGS 15 30 Because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and which he made Israel sin, by his provocation wherewith he provoked the LORD God of Israel to ANGER. 1 KINGS 16 2 Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over my people Israel; and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to ANGER with their sins; 7 And also by the hand of the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of the LORD against Baasha, and against his house, even for all the evil that he did in the sight of the LORD, in provoking him to ANGER with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam; and because he killed him. 13 For all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, by which they sinned, and by which they made Israel to sin, in provoking the LORD God of Israel to ANGER with their vanities. 26 For he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin, to provoke the LORD God of Israel to ANGER with their vanities. 33 And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to provoke the LORD God of Israel to ANGER than all the kings of Israel that were before him. 1 KINGS 21 22 And will make thine house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the provocation wherewith thou hast provoked me to ANGER, and made Israel to sin. 1 KINGS 22 53 For he served Baal, and worshipped him, and provoked to ANGER the LORD God of Israel, according to all that his father had done. 2 KINGS 13 3 And the ANGER of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Benhadad the son of Hazael, all their days. 2 KINGS 17 11 And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the LORD carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the LORD to ANGER: 17 And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to ANGER. 2 KINGS 21 6 And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to ANGER. 15 Because they have done that which was evil in my sight, and have provoked me to ANGER, since the day their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day. 2 KINGS 22 17 Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to ANGER with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and shall not be quenched. 2 KINGS 23 19 And all the houses also of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke the Lord to ANGER, Josiah took away, and did to them according to all the acts that he had done in Bethel. 26 Notwithstanding the LORD turned not from the fierceness of his great wrath, wherewith his ANGER was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations that Manasseh had provoked him withal. 2 KINGS 24 20 For through the ANGER of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon. 1 CHRONICLES 8 14 And AHIO, Shashak, and Jeremoth, 31 And Gedor, and AHIO, and Zacher. 1 CHRONICLES 9 37 And Gedor, and AHIO, and Zechariah, and Mikloth. 1 CHRONICLES 13 7 And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and AHIO drave the cart. 10 And the ANGER of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God. 2 CHRONICLES 25 10 Then Amaziah separated them, to wit, the army that was come to him out of Ephraim, to go home again: wherefore their ANGER was greatly kindled against Judah, and they returned home in great ANGER. 15 Wherefore the ANGER of the LORD was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand? --MORE-- |
