PROVERBS 26 18 As a mad man who casteth firebrands, ARROWS, and death, ISAIAH 5 28 Whose ARROWS are sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses' hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind: ISAIAH 7 24 With ARROWS and with bows shall men come thither; because all the land shall become briers and thorns. JEREMIAH 50 9 For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their ARROWS shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain. 14 Put yourselves in array against Babylon round about: all ye that bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no ARROWS: for she hath sinned against the LORD. JEREMIAH 51 11 Make bright the ARROWS; gather the shields: the LORD hath raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes: for his device is against Babylon, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple. LAMENTATIONS 3 13 He hath caused the ARROWS of his quiver to enter into my reins. EZEKIEL 5 16 When I shall send upon them the evil ARROWS of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread: EZEKIEL 21 21 For the king of Babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made his ARROWS bright, he consulted with images, he looked in the liver. EZEKIEL 39 3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine ARROWS to fall out of thy right hand. 9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the ARROWS, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years: AMOS 1 1 The words of AMOS, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake. AMOS 7 8 And the LORD said unto me, AMOS, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the LORD, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more: 10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, AMOS hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words. 11 For thus AMOS saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land. 12 Also Amaziah said unto AMOS, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there: 14 Then answered AMOS, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit: AMOS 8 2 And he said, AMOS, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more. HABAKKUK 3 11 The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine ARROWS they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear. LUKE 3 25 Which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of AMOS, which was the son of Naum, which was the son of Esli, which was the son of Nagge, LUKE 16 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf FIXED: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. --END-- |
