ISAIAH 1 23 Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth AFTER rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them. ISAIAH 5 17 Then shall the lambs feed AFTER their manner, and the waste places of the fat ones shall strangers eat. ISAIAH 9 18 For wickedness burneth as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the FOREST, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke. ISAIAH 10 18 And shall consume the glory of his FOREST, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standard-bearer fainteth. 19 And the rest of the trees of his FOREST shall be few, that a child may write them. 24 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, AFTER the manner of Egypt. 26 And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up AFTER the manner of Egypt. 34 And he shall cut down the thickets of the FOREST with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one. ISAIAH 11 3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge AFTER the sight of his eyes, neither reprove AFTER the hearing of his ears: ISAIAH 18 3 All ye inhabitants of the world, and DWELLERS on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye. ISAIAH 21 13 The burden upon Arabia. In the FOREST in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanim. ISAIAH 22 8 And he discovered the covering of Judah, and thou didst look in that day to the armour of the house of the FOREST. ISAIAH 23 15 And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: AFTER the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot. 17 And it shall come to pass AFTER the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth. ISAIAH 24 15 Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the FIRES, even the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea. 22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and AFTER many days shall they be visited. ISAIAH 29 17 Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a FOREST? ISAIAH 32 15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a FOREST. 19 When it shall hail, coming down on the FOREST; and the city shall be low in a low place. ISAIAH 37 24 By thy servants hast thou reproached the Lord, and hast said, By the multitude of my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the height of his border, and the FOREST of his Carmel. ISAIAH 43 10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be AFTER me. ISAIAH 44 13 The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it AFTER the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house. 14 He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the FOREST: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it. 23 Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O FOREST, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel. ISAIAH 45 14 Thus saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come AFTER thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God. ISAIAH 49 20 The children which thou shalt have, AFTER thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place is too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell. ISAIAH 51 1 Hearken to me, ye that follow AFTER righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged. ISAIAH 56 9 All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the FOREST. ISAIAH 65 2 I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, AFTER their own thoughts; JEREMIAH 2 2 Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest AFTER me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown. 5 Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked AFTER vanity, and are become vain? 8 The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked AFTER things that do not profit. 23 How canst thou say, I am not polluted, I have not gone AFTER Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thou hast done: thou art a swift dromedary traversing her ways; 25 Withhold thy foot from being unshod, and thy throat from thirst: but thou saidst, There is no hope: no; for I have loved strangers, and AFTER them will I go. JEREMIAH 3 7 And I said AFTER she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it. 17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more AFTER the imagination of their evil heart. JEREMIAH 5 6 Wherefore a lion out of the FOREST shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased. 8 They were as fed horses in the morning: every one neighed AFTER his neighbour's wife. JEREMIAH 7 6 If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk AFTER other gods to your hurt: 9 Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk AFTER other gods whom ye know not; JEREMIAH 8 2 And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and AFTER whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth. JEREMIAH 9 14 But have walked AFTER the imagination of their own heart, and AFTER Baalim, which their fathers taught them: 16 I will scatter them also among the heathen, whom neither they nor their fathers have known: and I will send a sword AFTER them, till I have consumed them. 22 Speak, Thus saith the LORD, Even the carcases of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the handful AFTER the harvestman, and none shall gather them. JEREMIAH 10 3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the FOREST, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. JEREMIAH 11 10 They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went AFTER other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers. JEREMIAH 12 6 For even thy brethren, and the house of thy father, even they have dealt treacherously with thee; yea, they have called a multitude AFTER thee: believe them not, though they speak fair words unto thee. 8 Mine heritage is unto me as a lion in the FOREST; it crieth out against me: therefore have I hated it. 15 And it shall come to pass, AFTER that I have plucked them out I will return, and have compassion on them, and will bring them again, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land. JEREMIAH 13 6 And it came to pass AFTER many days, that the LORD said unto me, Arise, go to Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded thee to hide there. 9 Thus saith the LORD, AFTER this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem. 10 This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk AFTER other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing. --MORE-- |
