EXODUS 2 16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their FATHER's flock. 18 And when they came to Reuel their FATHER, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon to day? EXODUS 3 1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his FATHER in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb. 6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy FATHER, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God. EXODUS 4 18 And Moses went and returned to Jethro his FATHER in law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray thee, and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace. EXODUS 18 1 When Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses' FATHER in law, heard of all that God had done for Moses, and for Israel his people, and that the LORD had brought Israel out of Egypt; 2 Then Jethro, Moses' FATHER in law, took Zipporah, Moses' wife, after he had sent her back, 4 And the name of the other was Eliezer; for the God of my FATHER, said he, was mine help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh: 5 And Jethro, Moses' FATHER in law, came with his sons and his wife unto Moses into the wilderness, where he encamped at the mount of God: 6 And he said unto Moses, I thy FATHER in law Jethro am come unto thee, and thy wife, and her two sons with her. 7 And Moses went out to meet his FATHER in law, and did obeisance, and kissed him; and they asked each other of their welfare; and they came into the tent. 8 And Moses told his FATHER in law all that the LORD had done unto Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel's sake, and all the travail that had come upon them by the way, and how the LORD delivered them. 12 And Jethro, Moses' FATHER in law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God: and Aaron came, and all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Moses' FATHER in law before God. 14 And when Moses' FATHER in law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that thou doest to the people? why sittest thou thyself alone, and all the people stand by thee from morning unto even? 15 And Moses said unto his FATHER in law, Because the people come unto me to enquire of God: 17 And Moses' FATHER in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest is not good. 24 So Moses hearkened to the voice of his FATHER in law, and did all that he had said. 27 And Moses let his FATHER in law depart; and he went his way into his own land. EXODUS 20 12 Honour thy FATHER and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. EXODUS 21 15 And he that smiteth his FATHER, or his mother, shall be surely put to death. 17 And he that curseth his FATHER, or his mother, shall surely be put to death. EXODUS 22 17 If her FATHER utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins. EXODUS 40 15 And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their FATHER, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations. LEVITICUS 18 7 The nakedness of thy FATHER, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. 8 The nakedness of thy FATHER's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy FATHER's nakedness. 9 The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy FATHER, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover. 11 The nakedness of thy FATHER's wife's daughter, begotten of thy FATHER, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. 12 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy FATHER's sister: she is thy FATHER's near kinswoman. 14 Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy FATHER's brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt. LEVITICUS 19 3 Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his FATHER, and keep my sabbaths: I am the LORD your God. LEVITICUS 20 9 For every one that curseth his FATHER or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his FATHER or his mother; his blood shall be upon him. 11 And the man that lieth with his FATHER's wife hath uncovered his FATHER's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. 17 And if a man shall take his sister, his FATHER's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it is a wicked thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: he hath uncovered his sister's nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity. 19 And thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister, nor of thy FATHER's sister: for he uncovereth his near kin: they shall bear their iniquity. LEVITICUS 21 2 But for his kin, that is near unto him, that is, for his mother, and for his FATHER, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother. 9 And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her FATHER: she shall be burnt with fire. 11 Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his FATHER, or for his mother; LEVITICUS 24 10 And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose FATHER was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp; NUMBERS 3 4 And Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD, when they offered strange fire before the LORD, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children: and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's office in the sight of Aaron their FATHER. 24 And the chief of the house of the FATHER of the Gershonites shall be Eliasaph the son of Lael. 30 And the chief of the house of the FATHER of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizaphan the son of Uzziel. 35 And the chief of the house of the FATHER of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail: these shall pitch on the side of the tabernacle northward. NUMBERS 6 7 He shall not make himself unclean for his FATHER, or for his mother, for his brother, or for his sister, when they die: because the consecration of his God is upon his head. NUMBERS 10 29 And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses' FATHER in law, We are journeying unto the place of which the LORD said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good: for the LORD hath spoken good concerning Israel. NUMBERS 11 12 Have I conceived all this people? have I begotten them, that thou shouldest say unto me, Carry them in thy bosom, as a nursing FATHER beareth the sucking child, unto the land which thou swarest unto their fathers? NUMBERS 12 14 And the LORD said unto Moses, If her FATHER had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again. NUMBERS 18 1 And the LORD said unto Aaron, Thou and thy sons and thy FATHER's house with thee shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary: and thou and thy sons with thee shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood. 2 And thy brethren also of the tribe of Levi, the tribe of thy FATHER, bring thou with thee, that they may be joined unto thee, and minister unto thee: but thou and thy sons with thee shall minister before the tabernacle of witness. NUMBERS 27 3 Our FATHER died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the LORD in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons. 4 Why should the name of our FATHER be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our FATHER. 7 The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their FATHER's brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their FATHER to pass unto them. 10 And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his FATHER's brethren. 11 And if his FATHER have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as the LORD commanded Moses. --MORE-- |
