NUMBERS 18 1 And the LORD said unto Aaron, Thou and thy sons and thy FATHER's house with thee shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary: and thou and thy sons with thee shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood. 2 And thy brethren also of the tribe of Levi, the tribe of thy FATHER, bring thou with thee, that they may be joined unto thee, and minister unto thee: but thou and thy sons with thee shall minister before the tabernacle of witness. NUMBERS 27 3 Our FATHER died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the LORD in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons. 4 Why should the name of our FATHER be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our FATHER. 7 The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their FATHER's brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their FATHER to pass unto them. 10 And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his FATHER's brethren. 11 And if his FATHER have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as the LORD commanded Moses. NUMBERS 30 3 If a woman also vow a vow unto the LORD, and bind herself by a bond, being in her FATHER's house in her youth; 4 And her FATHER hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her FATHER shall hold his peace at her; then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand. 5 But if her FATHER disallow her in the day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and the LORD shall forgive her, because her FATHER disallowed her. 16 These are the statutes, which the LORD commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between the FATHER and his daughter, being yet in her youth in her FATHER's house. NUMBERS 36 6 This is the thing which the LORD doth command concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, Let them marry to whom they think best; only to the family of the tribe of their FATHER shall they marry. 8 And every daughter, that possesseth an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Israel, shall be wife unto one of the family of the tribe of her FATHER, that the children of Israel may enjoy every man the inheritance of his fathers. 11 For Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, were married unto their FATHER's brothers' sons: 12 And they were married into the families of the sons of Manasseh the son of Joseph, and their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their FATHER. DEUTERONOMY 5 16 Honour thy FATHER and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. DEUTERONOMY 18 4 The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the FLEECE of thy sheep, shalt thou give him. DEUTERONOMY 21 13 And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thine house, and bewail her FATHER and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife. 18 If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his FATHER, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: 19 Then shall his FATHER and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; DEUTERONOMY 22 15 Then shall the FATHER of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate: 16 And the damsel's FATHER shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her; 19 And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the FATHER of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days. 21 Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her FATHER's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her FATHER's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you. 29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's FATHER fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days. 30 A man shall not take his FATHER's wife, nor discover his FATHER's skirt. DEUTERONOMY 26 5 And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my FATHER, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous: DEUTERONOMY 27 16 Cursed be he that setteth light by his FATHER or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen. 20 Cursed be he that lieth with his FATHER's wife; because he uncovereth his FATHER's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen. 22 Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his FATHER, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen. DEUTERONOMY 32 6 Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy FATHER that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee? 7 Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy FATHER, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee. DEUTERONOMY 33 9 Who said unto his FATHER and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant. JOSHUA 2 12 Now therefore, I pray you, swear unto me by the LORD, since I have shewed you kindness, that ye will also shew kindness unto my FATHER's house, and give me a true token: 13 And that ye will save alive my FATHER, and my mother, and my brethren, and my sisters, and all that they have, and deliver our lives from death. 18 Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy FATHER, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy FATHER's household, home unto thee. JOSHUA 6 23 And the young men that were spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her FATHER, and her mother, and her brethren, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them without the camp of Israel. 25 And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her FATHER's household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Israel even unto this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho. JOSHUA 15 13 And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even the city of Arba the FATHER of Anak, which city is Hebron. 18 And it came to pass, as she came unto him, that she moved him to ask of her FATHER a field: and she lighted off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou? JOSHUA 17 1 There was also a lot for the tribe of Manasseh; for he was the firstborn of Joseph; to wit, for Machir the firstborn of Manasseh, the FATHER of Gilead: because he was a man of war, therefore he had Gilead and Bashan. 4 And they came near before Eleazar the priest, and before Joshua the son of Nun, and before the princes, saying, The LORD commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our brethren. Therefore according to the commandment of the LORD he gave them an inheritance among the brethren of their FATHER. JOSHUA 19 47 And the coast of the children of Dan went out too little for them: therefore the children of Dan went up to fight against Leshem, and took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it, and dwelt therein, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their FATHER. JOSHUA 21 11 And they gave them the city of Arba the FATHER of Anak, which city is Hebron, in the hill country of Judah, with the suburbs thereof round about it. JUDGES 1 14 And it came to pass, when she came to him, that she moved him to ask of her FATHER a field: and she lighted from off her ass; and Caleb said unto her, What wilt thou? 16 And the children of the Kenite, Moses' FATHER in law, went up out of the city of palm trees with the children of Judah into the wilderness of Judah, which lieth in the south of Arad; and they went and dwelt among the people.
