NUMBERS 35 6 And among the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites there shall be six cities for refuge, which ye shall appoint for the manslayer, that he may FLEE thither: and to them ye shall add forty and two cities. 11 Then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may FLEE thither, which killeth any person at unawares. 15 These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them: that every one that killeth any person unawares may FLEE thither. DEUTERONOMY 1 14 And ye answered me, and said, The thing which thou hast spoken is GOOD for us to do. 25 And they took of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it down unto us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a GOOD land which the LORD our God doth give us. 35 Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that GOOD land, which I sware to give unto your fathers. 39 Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between GOOD and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it. DEUTERONOMY 2 4 And command thou the people, saying, Ye are to pass through the coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir; and they shall be afraid of you: take ye GOOD heed unto yourselves therefore: DEUTERONOMY 3 25 I pray thee, let me go over, and see the GOOD land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon. DEUTERONOMY 4 15 Take ye therefore GOOD heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire: 21 Furthermore the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, and sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that GOOD land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance: 22 But I must die in this land, I must not go over Jordan: but ye shall go over, and possess that GOOD land. 42 That the slayer might FLEE thither, which should kill his neighbour unawares, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing unto one of these cities he might live: DEUTERONOMY 6 11 And houses full of all GOOD things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full; 18 And thou shalt do that which is right and GOOD in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the GOOD land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers. 24 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our GOOD always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day. DEUTERONOMY 8 7 For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a GOOD land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills; 10 When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the GOOD land which he hath given thee. 16 Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee GOOD at thy latter end; DEUTERONOMY 9 6 Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this GOOD land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people. DEUTERONOMY 10 13 To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy GOOD? DEUTERONOMY 11 17 And then the LORD's wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the GOOD land which the LORD giveth you. DEUTERONOMY 12 28 Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is GOOD and right in the sight of the LORD thy God. DEUTERONOMY 18 4 The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the FLEECE of thy sheep, shalt thou give him. DEUTERONOMY 19 3 Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may FLEE thither. 4 And this is the case of the slayer, which shall FLEE thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past; 5 As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall FLEE unto one of those cities, and live: DEUTERONOMY 26 11 And thou shalt rejoice in every GOOD thing which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you. DEUTERONOMY 28 7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and FLEE before thee seven ways. 12 The LORD shall open unto thee his GOOD treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. 25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and FLEE seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. 63 And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you GOOD, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it. DEUTERONOMY 30 5 And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee GOOD, and multiply thee above thy fathers. 9 And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for GOOD: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for GOOD, as he rejoiced over thy fathers: 15 See, I have set before thee this day life and GOOD, and death and evil; DEUTERONOMY 31 6 Be strong and of a GOOD courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 7 And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a GOOD courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it. 23 And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong and of a GOOD courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land which I sware unto them: and I will be with thee. DEUTERONOMY 33 16 And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the GOOD will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren. JOSHUA 1 6 Be strong and of a GOOD courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have GOOD success. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a GOOD courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. 18 Whosoever he be that doth rebel against thy commandment, and will not hearken unto thy words in all that thou commandest him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a GOOD courage. JOSHUA 8 5 And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will FLEE before them, 6 (For they will come out after us) till we have drawn them from the city; for they will say, They FLEE before us, as at the first: therefore we will FLEE before them. 20 And when the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and, behold, the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to FLEE this way or that way: and the people that fled to the wilderness turned back upon the pursuers. JOSHUA 9 25 And now, behold, we are in thine hand: as it seemeth GOOD and right unto thee to do unto us, do. JOSHUA 10 25 And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of GOOD courage: for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight. JOSHUA 20 3 That the slayer that killeth any person unawares and unwittingly may FLEE thither: and they shall be your refuge from the avenger of blood. 4 And when he that doth FLEE unto one of those cities shall stand at the entering of the gate of the city, and shall declare his cause in the ears of the elders of that city, they shall take him into the city unto them, and give him a place, that he may dwell among them. 9 These were the cities appointed for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them, that whosoever killeth any person at unawares might FLEE thither, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood before the congregation. --MORE-- |
