2 KINGS 17 38 And the covenant that I have made with you ye shall not FORGET; neither shall ye fear other gods. 2 KINGS 23 8 And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from Geba to Beersheba, and brake down the high places of the GATES that were in the entering in of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were on a man's left hand at the gate of the city. 1 CHRONICLES 2 2 Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, GAD, and Asher. 1 CHRONICLES 5 11 And the children of GAD dwelt over against them, in the land of Bashan unto Salcah: 1 CHRONICLES 6 63 Unto the sons of Merari were given by lot, throughout their families, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of GAD, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities. 80 And out of the tribe of GAD; Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs, and Mahanaim with her suburbs, 1 CHRONICLES 9 19 And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren, of the house of his father, the Korahites, were over the work of the service, keepers of the GATES of the tabernacle: and their fathers, being over the host of the LORD, were keepers of the entry. 22 All these which were chosen to be porters in the GATES were two hundred and twelve. These were reckoned by their genealogy in their villages, whom David and Samuel the seer did ordain in their set office. 23 So they and their children had the oversight of the GATES of the house of the LORD, namely, the house of the tabernacle, by wards. 1 CHRONICLES 12 14 These were of the sons of GAD, captains of the host: one of the least was over an hundred, and the greatest over a thousand. 1 CHRONICLES 21 9 And the LORD spake unto GAD, David's seer, saying, 11 So GAD came to David, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Choose thee 13 And David said unto GAD, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into the hand of the LORD; for very great are his mercies: but let me not fall into the hand of man. 18 Then the angel of the LORD commanded GAD to say to David, that David should go up, and set up an altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite. 19 And David went up at the saying of GAD, which he spake in the name of the LORD. 1 CHRONICLES 22 3 And David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of the GATES, and for the joinings; and brass in abundance without weight; 1 CHRONICLES 29 29 Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of GAD the seer, 2 CHRONICLES 8 5 Also he built Bethhoron the upper, and Bethhoron the nether, fenced cities, with walls, GATES, and bars; 2 CHRONICLES 14 7 Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, GATES, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered. 2 CHRONICLES 23 19 And he set the porters at the GATES of the house of the LORD, that none which was unclean in any thing should enter in. 2 CHRONICLES 29 25 And he set the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, according to the commandment of David, and of GAD the king's seer, and Nathan the prophet: for so was the commandment of the LORD by his prophets. 2 CHRONICLES 31 2 And Hezekiah appointed the courses of the priests and the Levites after their courses, every man according to his service, the priests and Levites for burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to praise in the GATES of the tents of the LORD. NEHEMIAH 1 3 And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the GATES thereof are burned with fire. NEHEMIAH 2 3 And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers' sepulchres, lieth waste, and the GATES thereof are consumed with fire? 8 And a letter unto Asaph the keeper of the king's forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the GATES of the palace which appertained to the house, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall enter into. And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me. 13 And I went out by night by the gate of the valley, even before the dragon well, and to the dung port, and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and the GATES thereof were consumed with fire. 17 Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the GATES thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach. NEHEMIAH 6 1 Now it came to pass when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and Geshem the Arabian, and the rest of our enemies, heard that I had builded the wall, and that there was no breach left therein; (though at that time I had not set up the doors upon the GATES;) NEHEMIAH 7 3 And I said unto them, Let not the GATES of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house. NEHEMIAH 11 19 Moreover the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren that kept the GATES, were an hundred seventy and two. NEHEMIAH 12 25 Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were porters keeping the ward at the thresholds of the GATES. 30 And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the GATES, and the wall. NEHEMIAH 13 19 And it came to pass, that when the GATES of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the GATES should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the GATES, that there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day. 22 And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the GATES, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of thy mercy. JOB 8 13 So are the paths of all that FORGET God; and the hypocrite's hope shall perish: JOB 9 27 If I say, I will FORGET my complaint, I will leave off my heaviness, and comfort myself: JOB 11 16 Because thou shalt FORGET thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away: JOB 24 20 The womb shall FORGET him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as a tree. JOB 31 20 If his loins have not blessed me, and if he were not warmed with the FLEECE of my sheep; JOB 38 17 Have the GATES of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death? PSALM 9 13 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the GATES of death: 14 That I may shew forth all thy praise in the GATES of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation. 17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that FORGET God. PSALM 10 12 Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up thine hand: FORGET not the humble. PSALM 13 1 How long wilt thou FORGET me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me? PSALM 24 7 Lift up your heads, O ye GATES; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 9 Lift up your heads, O ye GATES; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. PSALM 45 10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; FORGET also thine own people, and thy father's house; PSALM 50 22 Now consider this, ye that FORGET God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver. PSALM 59 11 Slay them not, lest my people FORGET: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield. --MORE-- |
