COLOSSIANS 1 7 As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you A faithful minister of Christ; 23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made A minister; 25 Whereof I am made A minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; COLOSSIANS 2 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made A shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 17 Which are A shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. 18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in A voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, 23 Which things have indeed A shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh. COLOSSIANS 3 13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have A quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. COLOSSIANS 4 1 Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have A Master in heaven. 3 Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us A door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: 7 All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is A beloved brother, and A faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord: 9 With Onesimus, A faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are done here. 11 And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, which have been A comfort unto me. 12 Epaphras, who is one of you, A servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. 13 For I bear him record, that he hath A great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis. 1 THESSALONIANS 2 5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor A cloke of covetousness; God is witness: 7 But we were gentle among you, even as A nurse cherisheth her children: 11 As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged every one of you, as A father doth his children, 17 But we, brethren, being taken from you for A short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to see your face with great desire. 1 THESSALONIANS 4 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with A shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 1 THESSALONIANS 5 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as A thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon A woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as A thief. 2 THESSALONIANS 1 5 Which is A manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: 6 Seeing it is A righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 2 THESSALONIANS 2 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come A falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe A lie: 2 THESSALONIANS 3 15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as A brother. 1 TIMOTHY 1 5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of A pure heart, and of A good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: 8 But we know that the law is good, if A man use it lawfully; 9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for A righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 13 Who was before A blasphemer, and A persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. 15 This is A faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for A pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. 18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war A good warfare; 19 Holding faith, and A good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck: 1 TIMOTHY 2 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead A quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 6 Who gave himself A ransom for all, to be testified in due time. 7 Whereunto I am ordained A preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) A teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. 12 But I suffer not A woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 1 TIMOTHY 3 1 This is A true saying, If A man desire the office of A bishop, he desireth A good work. 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not A brawler, not covetous; 5 (For if A man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) 6 Not A novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. 7 Moreover he must have A good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. 9 Holding the mystery of the faith in A pure conscience. 10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of A deacon, being found blameless. 13 For they that have used the office of A deacon well purchase to themselves A good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus. 1 TIMOTHY 4 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with A hot iron; 6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be A good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. 9 This is A faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation. --MORE-- |
