ISAIAH 59 12 For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify AGAINST us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them; 13 In transgressing and lying AGAINST the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. 19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard AGAINST him. ISAIAH 63 10 But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought AGAINST them. JEREMIAH 2 8 The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed AGAINST me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit. 29 Wherefore will ye plead with me? ye all have transgressed AGAINST me, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 8 14 Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the defenced cities, and let us be silent there: for the LORD our God hath put us to silence, and given us water of gall to drink, because we have sinned AGAINST the LORD. 18 When I would comfort myself AGAINST sorrow, my heart is faint in me. JEREMIAH 14 7 O LORD, though our iniquities testify AGAINST us, do thou it for thy name's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned AGAINST thee. 10 Thus saith the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD doth not ACCEPT them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins. 12 When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not ACCEPT them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence. 20 We acknowledge, O LORD, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned AGAINST thee. JEREMIAH 15 6 Thou hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand AGAINST thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting. 8 Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas: I have brought upon them AGAINST the mother of the young men a spoiler at noonday: I have caused him to fall upon it suddenly, and terrors upon the city. 20 And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight AGAINST thee, but they shall not prevail AGAINST thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 16 10 And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the LORD pronounced all this great evil AGAINST us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed AGAINST the LORD our God? JEREMIAH 18 8 If that nation, AGAINST whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them. 11 Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I frame evil AGAINST you, and devise a device AGAINST you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good. 18 Then said they, Come and let us devise devices AGAINST Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words. 23 Yet, LORD, thou knowest all their counsel AGAINST me to slay me: forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from thy sight, but let them be overthrown before thee; deal thus with them in the time of thine anger. JEREMIAH 19 15 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced AGAINST it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words. JEREMIAH 20 10 For I heard the defaming of many, fear on every side. Report, say they, and we will report it. All my familiars watched for my halting, saying, Peradventure he will be enticed, and we shall prevail AGAINST him, and we shall take our revenge on him. JEREMIAH 21 2 Enquire, I pray thee, of the LORD for us; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon maketh war AGAINST us; if so be that the LORD will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us. 4 Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, wherewith ye fight AGAINST the king of Babylon, and AGAINST the Chaldeans, which besiege you without the walls, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city. 5 And I myself will fight AGAINST you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, and in fury, and in great wrath. 10 For I have set my face AGAINST this city for evil, and not for good, saith the LORD: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire. 13 Behold, I am AGAINST thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and rock of the plain, saith the LORD; which say, Who shall come down AGAINST us? or who shall enter into our habitations? JEREMIAH 22 7 And I will prepare destroyers AGAINST thee, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast them into the fire. JEREMIAH 23 2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel AGAINST the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD. 30 Therefore, behold, I am AGAINST the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour. 31 Behold, I am AGAINST the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith. 32 Behold, I am AGAINST them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD. --MORE-- |
