NAHUM 3 6 And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee AS a gazingstock. 10 Yet was she carried away, she went into captivity: her young children ALSO were dashed in pieces at the top of all the streets: and they cast lots for her honourable men, and all her great men were bound in chains. 11 Thou ALSO shalt be drunken: thou shalt be hid, thou ALSO shalt seek strength because of the enemy. 15 There shall the fire devour thee; the sword shall cut thee off, it shall eat thee up like the cankerworm: make thyself many AS the cankerworm, make thyself many AS the locusts. 17 Thy crowned are AS the locusts, and thy captains AS the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun ariseth they flee away, and their place is not known where they are. HABAKKUK 1 8 Their horses ALSO are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly AS the eagle that hasteth to eat. 9 They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up AS the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity AS the sand. 14 And makest men AS the fishes of the sea, AS the creeping things, that have no ruler over them? HABAKKUK 2 5 Yea ALSO, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire AS hell, and is AS death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people: 14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, AS the waters cover the sea. 15 Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken ALSO, that thou mayest look on their nakedness! 16 Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou ALSO, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the LORD's right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall be on thy glory. HABAKKUK 3 4 And his brightness was AS the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power. 14 Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out AS a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was AS to devour the poor secretly. ZEPHANIAH 1 4 I will ALSO stretch out mine hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, and the name of the Chemarims with the priests; 8 And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD's sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king's children, and all such AS are clothed with strange apparel. 9 In the same day ALSO will I punish all those that leap on the threshold, which fill their masters' houses with violence and deceit. 13 Therefore their goods shall become a booty, and their houses a desolation: they shall ALSO build houses, but not inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, but not drink the wine thereof. 17 And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out AS dust, and their flesh AS the dung. ZEPHANIAH 2 2 Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass AS the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD's anger come upon you. 9 Therefore AS I live, saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be AS Sodom, and the children of Ammon AS Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them. 12 Ye Ethiopians ALSO, ye shall be slain by my sword. ZEPHANIAH 3 12 I will ALSO leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD. HAGGAI 1 12 Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, AS the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD. HAGGAI 2 3 Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it AS nothing? 19 Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, AS yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you. 23 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee AS a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts. ZECHARIAH 1 4 Be ye not AS your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the LORD. 6 But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like AS the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us. ZECHARIAH 2 4 And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited AS towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein: 6 Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad AS the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD. ZECHARIAH 3 7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt ALSO judge my house, and shalt ALSO keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by. ZECHARIAH 4 1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, AS a man that is wakened out of his sleep. 9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall ALSO finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. ZECHARIAH 5 3 Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off AS on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off AS on that side according to it. ZECHARIAH 7 3 And to speak unto the priests which were in the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, AS I have done these so many years? 12 Yea, they made their hearts AS an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts. 13 Therefore it is come to pass, that AS he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the LORD of hosts: ZECHARIAH 8 6 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it ALSO be marvellous in mine eyes? saith the LORD of hosts. 11 But now I will not be unto the residue of this people AS in the former days, saith the LORD of hosts. 13 And it shall come to pass, that AS ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong. 14 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; AS I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not: 21 And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go ALSO. ZECHARIAH 9 1 The burden of the word of the LORD in the land of Hadrach, and Damascus shall be the rest thereof: when the eyes of man, AS of all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the LORD. 2 And Hamath ALSO shall border thereby; Tyrus, and Zidon, though it be very wise. 3 And Tyrus did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver AS the dust, and fine gold AS the mire of the streets. 5 Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza ALSO shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited. 7 And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, shall be for our God, and he shall be AS a governor in Judah, and Ekron AS a Jebusite. 11 AS for thee ALSO, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water. 13 When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee AS the sword of a mighty man. 14 And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth AS the lightning: and the LORD God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south. 15 The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise AS through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and AS the corners of the altar. 16 And the LORD their God shall save them in that day AS the flock of his people: for they shall be AS the stones of a crown, lifted up AS an ensign upon his land. --MORE-- |
