JUDGES 6 37 Behold, I will put a FLEECE of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the FLEECE only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. 38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the FLEECE together, and wringed the dew out of the FLEECE, a bowl full of water. 39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the FLEECE; let it now be dry only upon the FLEECE, and upon all the ground let there be dew. 40 And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the FLEECE only, and there was dew on all the ground. JUDGES 19 12 And his master said unto him, We will not turn aside hither into the city of a stranger, that is not of the children of Israel; we will pass over to GIBEAH. 13 And he said unto his servant, Come, and let us draw near to one of these places to lodge all night, in GIBEAH, or in Ramah. 14 And they passed on and went their way; and the sun went down upon them when they were by GIBEAH, which belongeth to Benjamin. 15 And they turned aside thither, to go in and to lodge in GIBEAH: and when he went in, he sat him down in a street of the city: for there was no man that took them into his house to lodging. 16 And, behold, there came an old man from his work out of the field at even, which was also of mount Ephraim; and he sojourned in GIBEAH: but the men of the place were Benjamites. JUDGES 20 4 And the Levite, the husband of the woman that was slain, answered and said, I came into GIBEAH that belongeth to Benjamin, I and my concubine, to lodge. 5 And the men of GIBEAH rose against me, and beset the house round about upon me by night, and thought to have slain me: and my concubine have they forced, that she is dead. 9 But now this shall be the thing which we will do to GIBEAH; we will go up by lot against it; 10 And we will take ten men of an hundred throughout all the tribes of Israel, and an hundred of a thousand, and a thousand out of ten thousand, to fetch victual for the people, that they may do, when they come to GIBEAH of Benjamin, according to all the folly that they have wrought in Israel. 13 Now therefore deliver us the men, the children of Belial, which are in GIBEAH, that we may put them to death, and put away evil from Israel. But the children of Benjamin would not hearken to the voice of their brethren the children of Israel. 14 But the children of Benjamin gathered themselves together out of the cities unto GIBEAH, to go out to battle against the children of Israel. 15 And the children of Benjamin were numbered at that time out of the cities twenty and six thousand men that drew sword, beside the inhabitants of GIBEAH, which were numbered seven hundred chosen men. 19 And the children of Israel rose up in the morning, and encamped against GIBEAH. 20 And the men of Israel went out to battle against Benjamin; and the men of Israel put themselves in array to fight against them at GIBEAH. 21 And the children of Benjamin came forth out of GIBEAH, and destroyed down to the ground of the Israelites that day twenty and two thousand men. 25 And Benjamin went forth against them out of GIBEAH the second day, and destroyed down to the ground of the children of Israel again eighteen thousand men; all these drew the sword. 29 And Israel set liers in wait round about GIBEAH. 30 And the children of Israel went up against the children of Benjamin on the third day, and put themselves in array against GIBEAH, as at other times. 31 And the children of Benjamin went out against the people, and were drawn away from the city; and they began to smite of the people, and kill, as at other times, in the highways, of which one goeth up to the house of God, and the other to GIBEAH in the field, about thirty men of Israel. 33 And all the men of Israel rose up out of their place, and put themselves in array at Baaltamar: and the liers in wait of Israel came forth out of their places, even out of the meadows of GIBEAH. 34 And there came against GIBEAH ten thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and the battle was sore: but they knew not that evil was near them. 36 So the children of Benjamin saw that they were smitten: for the men of Israel gave place to the Benjamites, because they trusted unto the liers in wait which they had set beside GIBEAH. 37 And the liers in wait hasted, and rushed upon GIBEAH; and the liers in wait drew themselves along, and smote all the city with the edge of the sword. 43 Thus they inclosed the Benjamites round about, and chased them, and trode them down with ease over against GIBEAH toward the sunrising. 1 SAMUEL 10 26 And Saul also went home to GIBEAH; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched. 1 SAMUEL 11 4 Then came the messengers to GIBEAH of Saul, and told the tidings in the ears of the people: and all the people lifted up their voices, and wept. 1 SAMUEL 13 2 Saul chose him three thousand men of Israel; whereof two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and in mount Bethel, and a thousand were with Jonathan in GIBEAH of Benjamin: and the rest of the people he sent every man to his tent. 15 And Samuel arose, and gat him up from Gilgal unto GIBEAH of Benjamin. And Saul numbered the people that were present with him, about six hundred men. 16 And Saul, and Jonathan his son, and the people that were present with them, abode in GIBEAH of Benjamin: but the Philistines encamped in Michmash. 1 SAMUEL 14 2 And Saul tarried in the uttermost part of GIBEAH under a pomegranate tree which is in Migron: and the people that were with him were about six hundred men; 5 The forefront of the one was situate northward over against Michmash, and the other southward over against GIBEAH. 16 And the watchmen of Saul in GIBEAH of Benjamin looked; and, behold, the multitude melted away, and they went on beating down one another. 1 SAMUEL 15 34 Then Samuel went to Ramah; and Saul went up to his house to GIBEAH of Saul. 1 SAMUEL 22 6 When Saul heard that David was discovered, and the men that were with him, (now Saul abode in GIBEAH under a tree in Ramah, having his spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing about him;) 1 SAMUEL 23 19 Then came up the Ziphites to Saul to GIBEAH, saying, Doth not David hide himself with us in strong holds in the wood, in the hill of Hachilah, which is on the south of Jeshimon? 1 SAMUEL 26 1 And the Ziphites came unto Saul to GIBEAH, saying, Doth not David hide himself in the hill of Hachilah, which is before Jeshimon? 2 SAMUEL 6 3 And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in GIBEAH: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart. 4 And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at GIBEAH, accompanying the ark of God: and Ahio went before the ark. 2 SAMUEL 21 6 Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in GIBEAH of Saul, whom the LORD did choose. And the king said, I will give them. 2 SAMUEL 23 29 Heleb the son of Baanah, a Netophathite, Ittai the son of Ribai out of GIBEAH of the children of Benjamin, 2 KINGS 19 25 Hast thou not heard long ago how I have done it, and of ancient times that I have FORMED it? now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste fenced cities into ruinous heaps. 1 CHRONICLES 11 31 Ithai the son of Ribai of GIBEAH, that pertained to the children of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite, 2 CHRONICLES 13 2 He reigned three years in Jerusalem.
