JOSHUA 9 1 And it came to pass, when all the kings which were on this side Jordan, in the hills, and in the valleys, and in all the coasts of the great sea over AGAINST Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard thereof; 18 And the children of Israel smote them not, because the princes of the congregation had sworn unto them by the LORD God of Israel. And all the congregation murmured AGAINST the princes. JOSHUA 10 5 Therefore the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their hosts, and encamped before Gibeon, and made war AGAINST it. 6 And the men of Gibeon sent unto Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not thy hand from thy servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the mountains are gathered together AGAINST us. 21 And all the people returned to the camp to Joshua at Makkedah in peace: none moved his tongue AGAINST any of the children of Israel. 25 And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies AGAINST whom ye fight. 29 Then Joshua passed from Makkedah, and all Israel with him, unto Libnah, and fought AGAINST Libnah: 31 And Joshua passed from Libnah, and all Israel with him, unto Lachish, and encamped AGAINST it, and fought AGAINST it: 34 And from Lachish Joshua passed unto Eglon, and all Israel with him; and they encamped AGAINST it, and fought AGAINST it: 36 And Joshua went up from Eglon, and all Israel with him, unto Hebron; and they fought AGAINST it: 38 And Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, to Debir; and fought AGAINST it: JOSHUA 11 5 And when all these kings were met together, they came and pitched together at the waters of Merom, to fight AGAINST Israel. 7 So Joshua came, and all the people of war with him, AGAINST them by the waters of Merom suddenly; and they fell upon them. 20 For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, that they should come AGAINST Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the LORD commanded Moses. JOSHUA 18 5 And they shall divide it into seven parts: Judah shall ABIDE in their coast on the south, and the house of Joseph shall ABIDE in their coasts on the north. 17 And was drawn from the north, and went forth to Enshemesh, and went forth toward Geliloth, which is over AGAINST the going up of Adummim, and descended to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben, 18 And passed along toward the side over AGAINST Arabah northward, and went down unto Arabah: JOSHUA 19 47 And the coast of the children of Dan went out too little for them: therefore the children of Dan went up to fight AGAINST Leshem, and took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it, and dwelt therein, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father. JOSHUA 22 11 And the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh have built an altar over AGAINST the land of Canaan, in the borders of Jordan, at the passage of the children of Israel. 12 And when the children of Israel heard of it, the whole congregation of the children of Israel gathered themselves together at Shiloh, to go up to war AGAINST them. 16 Thus saith the whole congregation of the LORD, What trespass is this that ye have committed AGAINST the God of Israel, to turn away this day from following the LORD, in that ye have builded you an altar, that ye might rebel this day AGAINST the LORD? 18 But that ye must turn away this day from following the LORD? and it will be, seeing ye rebel to day AGAINST the LORD, that to morrow he will be wroth with the whole congregation of Israel. 19 Notwithstanding, if the land of your possession be unclean, then pass ye over unto the land of the possession of the LORD, wherein the LORD's tabernacle dwelleth, and take possession among us: but rebel not AGAINST the LORD, nor rebel AGAINST us, in building you an altar beside the altar of the LORD our God. 22 The LORD God of gods, the LORD God of gods, he knoweth, and Israel he shall know; if it be in rebellion, or if in transgression AGAINST the LORD, (save us not this day,) 29 God forbid that we should rebel AGAINST the LORD, and turn this day from following the LORD, to build an altar for burnt offerings, for meat offerings, or for sacrifices, beside the altar of the LORD our God that is before his tabernacle. 31 And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to the children of Manasseh, This day we perceive that the LORD is among us, because ye have not committed this trespass AGAINST the LORD: now ye have delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of the LORD. 33 And the thing pleased the children of Israel; and the children of Israel blessed God, and did not intend to go up AGAINST them in battle, to destroy the land wherein the children of Reuben and Gad dwelt. JOSHUA 23 16 When ye have transgressed the covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the LORD be kindled AGAINST you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which he hath given unto you. JOSHUA 24 9 Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose and warred AGAINST Israel, and sent and called Balaam the son of Beor to curse you: 11 And you went over Jordan, and came unto Jericho: and the men of Jericho fought AGAINST you, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I delivered them into your hand. 22 And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses AGAINST yourselves that ye have chosen you the LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses. JUDGES 1 1 Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass, that the children of Israel asked the LORD, saying, Who shall go up for us AGAINST the Canaanites first, to fight AGAINST them? 3 And Judah said unto Simeon his brother, Come up with me into my lot, that we may fight AGAINST the Canaanites; and I likewise will go with thee into thy lot. So Simeon went with him. 5 And they found Adonibezek in Bezek: and they fought AGAINST him, and they slew the Canaanites and the Perizzites. 8 Now the children of Judah had fought AGAINST Jerusalem, and had taken it, and smitten it with the edge of the sword, and set the city on fire. 9 And afterward the children of Judah went down to fight AGAINST the Canaanites, that dwelt in the mountain, and in the south, and in the valley. 10 And Judah went AGAINST the Canaanites that dwelt in Hebron: (now the name of Hebron before was Kirjatharba:) and they slew Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai. 11 And from thence he went AGAINST the inhabitants of Debir: and the name of Debir before was Kirjathsepher: 22 And the house of Joseph, they also went up AGAINST Bethel: and the LORD was with them. 31 Neither did Asher drive out the inhabitants of ACCHO, nor the inhabitants of Zidon, nor of Ahlab, nor of Achzib, nor of Helbah, nor of Aphik, nor of Rehob: JUDGES 2 14 And the anger of the LORD was hot AGAINST Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies. 15 Whithersoever they went out, the hand of the LORD was AGAINST them for evil, as the LORD had said, and as the LORD had sworn unto them: and they were greatly distressed. 20 And the anger of the LORD was hot AGAINST Israel; and he said, Because that this people hath transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice; JUDGES 3 8 Therefore the anger of the LORD was hot AGAINST Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Chushanrishathaim eight years. 10 And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the LORD delivered Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed AGAINST Chushanrishathaim. 12 And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab AGAINST Israel, because they had done evil in the sight of the LORD. JUDGES 4 24 And the hand of the children of Israel prospered, and prevailed AGAINST Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan. JUDGES 5 14 Out of Ephraim was there a root of them AGAINST Amalek; after thee, Benjamin, among thy people; out of Machir came down governors, and out of Zebulun they that handle the pen of the writer. 20 They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought AGAINST Sisera. 23 Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the LORD, curse ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; because they came not to the help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD AGAINST the mighty. --MORE-- |
