JUDGES 1 8 Now the children of Judah had fought against Jerusalem, and had taken it, and smitten it with the edge of the sword, and set the city on FIRE. JUDGES 5 11 They that are delivered from the noise of archers in the places of drawing water, there shall they rehearse the righteous ACTS of the LORD, even the righteous ACTS toward the inhabitants of his villages in Israel: then shall the people of the LORD go down to the gates. JUDGES 6 21 Then the angel of the LORD put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there rose up FIRE out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes. Then the angel of the LORD departed out of his sight. JUDGES 9 15 And the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth ye anoint me king over you, then come and put your trust in my shadow: and if not, let FIRE come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon. 20 But if not, let FIRE come out from Abimelech, and devour the men of Shechem, and the house of Millo; and let FIRE come out from the men of Shechem, and from the house of Millo, and devour Abimelech. 49 And all the people likewise cut down every man his bough, and followed Abimelech, and put them to the hold, and set the hold on FIRE upon them; so that all the men of the tower of Shechem died also, about a thousand men and women. 52 And Abimelech came unto the tower, and fought against it, and went hard unto the door of the tower to burn it with FIRE. JUDGES 12 1 And the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and went northward, and said unto Jephthah, Wherefore passedst thou over to fight against the children of Ammon, and didst not call us to go with thee? we will burn thine house upon thee with FIRE. JUDGES 13 20 For it came to pass, when the FLAME went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the LORD ascended in the FLAME of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground. JUDGES 14 15 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson's wife, Entice thy husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy father's house with FIRE: have ye called us to take that we have? is it not so? JUDGES 15 5 And when he had set the brands on FIRE, he let them go into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks, and also the standing corn, with the vineyards and olives. 6 Then the Philistines said, Who hath done this? And they answered, Samson, the son in law of the Timnite, because he had taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with FIRE. 14 And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with FIRE, and his bands loosed from off his hands. JUDGES 16 9 Now there were men lying in wait, abiding with her in the chamber. And she said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he brake the withs, as a thread of tow is broken when it toucheth the FIRE. So his strength was not known. JUDGES 18 27 And they took the things which Micah had made, and the priest which he had, and came unto Laish, unto a people that were at quiet and secure: and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and burnt the city with FIRE. JUDGES 19 30 And it was so, that all that saw it said, There was no such deed done nor seen from the day that the children of Israel came up out of the land of Egypt unto this day: consider of it, take ADVICE, and speak your minds. Nevertheless in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet. 31 Now the rest of the ACTS of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? 1 KINGS 16 5 Now the rest of the ACTS of Baasha, and what he did, and his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? 14 Now the rest of the ACTS of Elah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? 18 And it came to pass, when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the palace of the king's house, and burnt the king's house over him with FIRE, and died. 20 Now the rest of the ACTS of Zimri, and his treason that he wrought, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? 27 Now the rest of the ACTS of Omri which he did, and his might that he shewed, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? 1 KINGS 18 23 Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no FIRE under: and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no FIRE under: 24 And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by FIRE, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken. 25 And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress it first; for ye are many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no FIRE under. 38 Then the FIRE of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. --MORE-- |
