NUMBERS 1 14 Of GAD; Eliasaph the son of Deuel. 24 Of the children of GAD, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; 25 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of GAD, were forty and five thousand six hundred and fifty. NUMBERS 2 14 Then the tribe of GAD: and the captain of the sons of GAD shall be Eliasaph the son of Reuel. NUMBERS 4 26 And the hangings of the court, and the hanging for the door of the GATE of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and all that is made for them: so shall they serve. NUMBERS 7 42 On the sixth day Eliasaph the son of Deuel, prince of the children of GAD, offered: NUMBERS 10 20 And over the host of the tribe of the children of GAD was Eliasaph the son of Deuel. 35 And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, LORD, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee FLEE before thee. NUMBERS 13 15 Of the tribe of GAD, Geuel the son of Machi. NUMBERS 24 11 Therefore now FLEE thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the LORD hath kept thee back from honour. NUMBERS 26 15 The children of GAD after their families: of Zephon, the family of the Zephonites: of Haggi, the family of the Haggites: of Shuni, the family of the Shunites: 18 These are the families of the children of GAD according to those that were numbered of them, forty thousand and five hundred. NUMBERS 32 1 Now the children of Reuben and the children of GAD had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle; 2 The children of GAD and the children of Reuben came and spake unto Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and unto the princes of the congregation, saying, 6 And Moses said unto the children of GAD and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here? 25 And the children of GAD and the children of Reuben spake unto Moses, saying, Thy servants will do as my lord commandeth. 29 And Moses said unto them, If the children of GAD and the children of Reuben will pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the LORD, and the land shall be subdued before you; then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession: 31 And the children of GAD and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As the LORD hath said unto thy servants, so will we do. 33 And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of GAD, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about. 34 And the children of GAD built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer, NUMBERS 34 14 For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of GAD according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance: NUMBERS 35 6 And among the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites there shall be six cities for refuge, which ye shall appoint for the manslayer, that he may FLEE thither: and to them ye shall add forty and two cities. 11 Then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may FLEE thither, which killeth any person at unawares. 15 These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them: that every one that killeth any person unawares may FLEE thither. DEUTERONOMY 4 42 That the slayer might FLEE thither, which should kill his neighbour unawares, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing unto one of these cities he might live: DEUTERONOMY 18 4 The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the FLEECE of thy sheep, shalt thou give him. DEUTERONOMY 19 3 Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may FLEE thither. 4 And this is the case of the slayer, which shall FLEE thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past; 5 As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall FLEE unto one of those cities, and live: DEUTERONOMY 21 19 Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the GATE of his place; DEUTERONOMY 22 15 Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the GATE: 24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the GATE of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you. DEUTERONOMY 25 7 And if the man like not to take his brother's wife, then let his brother's wife go up to the GATE unto the elders, and say, My husband's brother refuseth to raise up unto his brother a name in Israel, he will not perform the duty of my husband's brother. DEUTERONOMY 27 13 And these shall stand upon mount Ebal to curse; Reuben, GAD, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali. DEUTERONOMY 28 7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and FLEE before thee seven ways. 25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and FLEE seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. DEUTERONOMY 33 20 And of GAD he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth GAD: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head. JOSHUA 2 5 And it came to pass about the time of shutting of the GATE, when it was dark, that the men went out: whither the men went I wot not: pursue after them quickly; for ye shall overtake them. 7 And the men pursued after them the way to Jordan unto the fords: and as soon as they which pursued after them were gone out, they shut the GATE. JOSHUA 4 12 And the children of Reuben, and the children of GAD, and half the tribe of Manasseh, passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses spake unto them: JOSHUA 7 5 And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the GATE even unto Shebarim, and smote them in the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water. JOSHUA 8 5 And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will FLEE before them, 6 (For they will come out after us) till we have drawn them from the city; for they will say, They FLEE before us, as at the first: therefore we will FLEE before them. 20 And when the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and, behold, the smoke of the city ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to FLEE this way or that way: and the people that fled to the wilderness turned back upon the pursuers. 29 And the king of Ai he hanged on a tree until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down, Joshua commanded that they should take his carcase down from the tree, and cast it at the entering of the GATE of the city, and raise thereon a great heap of stones, that remaineth unto this day. JOSHUA 13 24 And Moses gave inheritance unto the tribe of GAD, even unto the children of GAD according to their families. 28 This is the inheritance of the children of GAD after their families, the cities, and their villages. JOSHUA 18 7 But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance: and GAD, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them. JOSHUA 20 3 That the slayer that killeth any person unawares and unwittingly may FLEE thither: and they shall be your refuge from the avenger of blood. 4 And when he that doth FLEE unto one of those cities shall stand at the entering of the GATE of the city, and shall declare his cause in the ears of the elders of that city, they shall take him into the city unto them, and give him a place, that he may dwell among them. 8 And on the other side Jordan by Jericho eastward, they assigned Bezer in the wilderness upon the plain out of the tribe of Reuben, and Ramoth in Gilead out of the tribe of GAD, and Golan in Bashan out of the tribe of Manasseh. 9 These were the cities appointed for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them, that whosoever killeth any person at unawares might FLEE thither, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood before the congregation. --MORE-- |
