PSALM 79 4 We are become A reproach to our neighbours, A scorn and derision to them that are round about us. 5 How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry FOR ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire? 7 FOR they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste his dwelling place. 8 O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us: FOR we are brought very low. 9 Help us, O God of our salvation, FOR the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, FOR thy name's sake. 13 So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks FOR ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations. PSALM 80 1 Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like A flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth. 6 Thou makest us A strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves. 8 Thou hast brought A vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it. 15 And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong FOR thyself. 17 Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong FOR thyself. PSALM 81 1 Sing aloud unto God our strength: make A joyful noise unto the God of Jacob. 2 Take A psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery. 4 FOR this was A statute FOR Israel, and A law of the God of Jacob. 5 This he ordained in Joseph FOR A testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard A language that I understood not. 15 The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured FOR ever. PSALM 82 8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: FOR thou shalt inherit all nations. PSALM 83 2 FOR, lo, thine enemies make A tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. 4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being A nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. 5 FOR they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee: 10 Which perished at Endor: they became as dung FOR the earth. 13 O my God, make them like A wheel; as the stubble before the wind. 14 As the fire burneth A wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire; 17 Let them be confounded and troubled FOR ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish: PSALM 84 2 My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth FOR the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out FOR the living God. 3 Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow A nest FOR herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God. 6 Who passing through the valley of Baca make it A well; the rain also filleth the pools. 10 FOR A day in thy courts is better than A thousand. I had rather be A doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. 11 FOR the LORD God is A sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. PSALM 85 5 Wilt thou be angry with us FOR ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations? 8 I will hear what God the LORD will speak: FOR he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly. PSALM 86 1 Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me: FOR I am poor and needy. 2 Preserve my soul; FOR I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee. 3 Be merciful unto me, O Lord: FOR I cry unto thee daily. 4 Rejoice the soul of thy servant: FOR unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. 5 FOR thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. 7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: FOR thou wilt answer me. 10 FOR thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone. 12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name FOR evermore. 13 FOR great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. 15 But thou, O Lord, art A God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. 17 Shew me A token FOR good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me. PSALM 88 3 FOR my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave. 4 I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as A man that hath no strength: PSALM 89 1 I will sing of the mercies of the LORD FOR ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations. 2 FOR I have said, Mercy shall be built up FOR ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens. 3 I have made A covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant, 4 Thy seed will I establish FOR ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah. 6 FOR who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD? 8 O LORD God of hosts, who is A strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee? 11 The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as FOR the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them. 13 Thou hast A mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand. 17 FOR thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted. 18 FOR the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king. 28 My mercy will I keep FOR him FOR evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him. 29 His seed also will I make to endure FOR ever, and his throne as the days of heaven. 36 His seed shall endure FOR ever, and his throne as the sun before me. 37 It shall be established FOR ever as the moon, and as A faithful witness in heaven. Selah. 41 All that pass by the way spoil him: he is A reproach to his neighbours. 46 How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself FOR ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire? 52 Blessed be the LORD FOR evermore. Amen, and Amen. --MORE-- |
