1 SAMUEL 2 28 And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by FIRE of the children of Israel? 1 SAMUEL 4 2 And the Philistines put themselves in array against Israel: and when they joined battle, Israel was smitten before the Philistines: and they slew of the army in the field about FOUR thousand men. 1 SAMUEL 14 14 And that FIRST slaughter, which Jonathan and his armourbearer made, was about twenty men, within as it were an half acre of land, which a yoke of oxen might plow. 35 And Saul built an altar unto the LORD: the same was the FIRST altar that he built unto the LORD. 1 SAMUEL 22 2 And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about FOUR hundred men. 1 SAMUEL 25 13 And David said unto his men, Gird ye on every man his sword. And they girded on every man his sword; and David also girded on his sword: and there went up after David about FOUR hundred men; and two hundred abode by the stuff. 1 SAMUEL 27 7 And the time that David dwelt in the country of the Philistines was a full year and FOUR months. 1 SAMUEL 30 1 And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with FIRE; 3 So David and his men came to the city, and, behold, it was burned with FIRE; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives. 10 But David pursued, he and FOUR hundred men: for two hundred abode behind, which were so faint that they could not go over the brook Besor. 14 We made an invasion upon the south of the Cherethites, and upon the coast which belongeth to Judah, and upon the south of Caleb; and we burned Ziklag with FIRE. 17 And David smote them from the twilight even unto the evening of the next day: and there escaped not a man of them, save FOUR hundred young men, which rode upon camels, and fled. 2 SAMUEL 3 13 And he said, Well; I will make a league with thee: but one thing I require of thee, that is, Thou shalt not see my face, except thou FIRST bring Michal Saul's daughter, when thou comest to see my face. 2 SAMUEL 14 30 Therefore he said unto his servants, See, Joab's field is near mine, and he hath barley there; go and set it on FIRE. And Absalom's servants set the field on FIRE. 31 Then Joab arose, and came to Absalom unto his house, and said unto him, Wherefore have thy servants set my field on FIRE? 2 SAMUEL 17 9 Behold, he is hid now in some pit, or in some other place: and it will come to pass, when some of them be overthrown at the FIRST, that whosoever heareth it will say, There is a slaughter among the people that follow Absalom. 2 SAMUEL 19 20 For thy servant doth know that I have sinned: therefore, behold, I am come the FIRST this day of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king. 43 And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more right in David than ye: why then did ye despise us, that our advice should not be FIRST had in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel. 2 SAMUEL 21 9 And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the LORD: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the FIRST days, in the beginning of barley harvest. 20 And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, FOUR and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant. 22 These FOUR were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants. 2 SAMUEL 22 9 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and FIRE out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it. 13 Through the brightness before him were coals of FIRE kindled. 2 SAMUEL 23 7 But the man that shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with FIRE in the same place. 19 Was he not most honourable of three? therefore he was their captain: howbeit he attained not unto the FIRST three. 23 He was more honourable than the thirty, but he attained not to the FIRST three. And David set him over his guard. 1 KINGS 5 17 And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones, to lay the FOUNDATION of the house. 1 KINGS 6 1 And it came to pass in the FOUR hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD. 37 In the fourth year was the FOUNDATION of the house of the LORD laid, in the month Zif: 1 KINGS 7 2 He built also the house of the forest of Lebanon; the length thereof was an hundred cubits, and the breadth thereof fifty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits, upon FOUR rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars. 9 All these were of costly stones, according to the measures of hewed stones, sawed with saws, within and without, even from the FOUNDATION unto the coping, and so on the outside toward the great court. 10 And the FOUNDATION was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits. 19 And the chapiters that were upon the top of the pillars were of lily work in the porch, FOUR cubits. 27 And he made ten bases of brass; FOUR cubits was the length of one base, and FOUR cubits the breadth thereof, and three cubits the height of it. 30 And every base had FOUR brasen wheels, and plates of brass: and the FOUR corners thereof had undersetters: under the laver were undersetters molten, at the side of every addition. 32 And under the borders were FOUR wheels; and the axletrees of the wheels were joined to the base: and the height of a wheel was a cubit and half a cubit. 34 And there were FOUR undersetters to the FOUR corners of one base: and the undersetters were of the very base itself. 38 Then made he ten lavers of brass: one laver contained forty baths: and every laver was FOUR cubits: and upon every one of the ten bases one laver. 42 And FOUR hundred pomegranates for the two networks, even two rows of pomegranates for one network, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters that were upon the pillars; 1 KINGS 9 16 For Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with FIRE, and slain the Canaanites that dwelt in the city, and given it for a present unto his daughter, Solomon's wife. 28 And they came to Ophir, and fetched from thence gold, FOUR hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to king Solomon. 1 KINGS 10 26 And Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and FOUR hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, whom he bestowed in the cities for chariots, and with the king at Jerusalem. 1 KINGS 15 33 In the third year of Asa king of Judah began Baasha the son of Ahijah to reign over all Israel in Tirzah, twenty and FOUR years. 1 KINGS 16 18 And it came to pass, when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the palace of the king's house, and burnt the king's house over him with FIRE, and died. 23 In the thirty and FIRST year of Asa king of Judah began Omri to reign over Israel, twelve years: six years reigned he in Tirzah. 34 In his days did Hiel the Bethelite build Jericho: he laid the FOUNDATION thereof in Abiram his firstborn, and set up the gates thereof in his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Joshua the son of Nun. 1 KINGS 17 13 And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake FIRST, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. 1 KINGS 18 19 Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal FOUR hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves FOUR hundred, which eat at Jezebel's table. 22 Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal's prophets are FOUR hundred and fifty men. 23 Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no FIRE under: and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no FIRE under: 24 And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by FIRE, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken. 25 And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress it FIRST; for ye are many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no FIRE under. 33 And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill FOUR barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood. 38 Then the FIRE of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. --MORE-- |
