EZRA 10 16 And the children of the captivity did so. And Ezra the priest, with certain chief of the fathers, after the house of their fathers, and all of them by their names, were separated, and sat down in the FIRST day of the tenth month to examine the matter. 17 And they made an end with all the men that had taken strange wives by the FIRST day of the FIRST month. NEHEMIAH 1 3 And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with FIRE. NEHEMIAH 2 3 And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers' sepulchres, lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with FIRE? 13 And I went out by night by the gate of the valley, even before the dragon well, and to the dung port, and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and the gates thereof were consumed with FIRE. 17 Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with FIRE: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach. NEHEMIAH 6 4 Yet they sent unto me FOUR times after this sort; and I answered them after the same manner. NEHEMIAH 7 5 And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. NEHEMIAH 8 2 And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the FIRST day of the seventh month. 18 Also day by day, from the FIRST day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.
