JEREMIAH 36 22 Now the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth month: and there was a FIRE on the hearth burning before him. 23 And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or FOUR leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the FIRE that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the FIRE that was on the hearth. 28 Take thee again another roll, and write in it all the former words that were in the FIRST roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah hath burned. 32 Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the FIRE: and there were added besides unto them many like words. LAMENTATIONS 1 13 From above hath he sent FIRE into my bones, and it prevaileth against them: he hath spread a net for my feet, he hath turned me back: he hath made me desolate and faint all the day. LAMENTATIONS 2 3 He hath cut off in his fierce anger all the horn of Israel: he hath drawn back his right hand from before the enemy, and he burned against Jacob like a flaming FIRE, which devoureth round about. 4 He hath bent his bow like an enemy: he stood with his right hand as an adversary, and slew all that were pleasant to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of Zion: he poured out his fury like FIRE. LAMENTATIONS 4 11 The LORD hath accomplished his fury; he hath poured out his fierce anger, and hath kindled a FIRE in Zion, and it hath devoured the foundations thereof. EZEKIEL 1 4 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a FIRE infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the FIRE. 5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of FOUR living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. 6 And every one had FOUR faces, and every one had FOUR wings. 8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their FOUR sides; and they FOUR had their faces and their wings. 10 As for the likeness of their faces, they FOUR had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they FOUR had the face of an ox on the left side; they FOUR also had the face of an eagle. 13 As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of FIRE, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the FIRE was bright, and out of the FIRE went forth lightning. 15 Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his FOUR faces. 16 The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they FOUR had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel. 17 When they went, they went upon their FOUR sides: and they turned not when they went. 18 As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them FOUR. 27 And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of FIRE round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of FIRE, and it had brightness round about. EZEKIEL 5 2 Thou shalt burn with FIRE a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them. 4 Then take of them again, and cast them into the midst of the FIRE, and burn them in the FIRE; for thereof shall a FIRE come forth into all the house of Israel. --MORE-- |
