DANIEL 3 22 Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flames of the FIRE slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. 24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the FIRE? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. 25 He answered and said, Lo, I see FOUR men loose, walking in the midst of the FIRE, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. 26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the FIRE. 27 And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the FIRE had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of FIRE had passed on them. DANIEL 6 2 And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was FIRST: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage. DANIEL 7 1 In the FIRST year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters. 2 Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the FOUR winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. 3 And FOUR great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. 4 The FIRST was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it. 6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it FOUR wings of a fowl; the beast had also FOUR heads; and dominion was given to it. 8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the FIRST horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. 9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning FIRE. 17 These great beasts, which are FOUR, are FOUR kings, which shall arise out of the earth. 24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the FIRST, and he shall subdue three kings. DANIEL 8 1 In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the FIRST. 8 Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up FOUR notable ones toward the FOUR winds of heaven. 21 And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the FIRST king. 22 Now that being broken, whereas FOUR stood up for it, FOUR kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power. DANIEL 9 1 In the FIRST year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans; 2 In the FIRST year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. DANIEL 10 4 And in the FOUR and twentieth day of the FIRST month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel; 6 His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of FIRE, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude. 12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the FIRST day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. DANIEL 11 1 Also I in the FIRST year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him. 4 And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the FOUR winds of heaven; and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those. 10 But his sons shall be stirred up, and shall assemble a multitude of great FORCES: and one shall certainly come, and overflow, and pass through: then shall he return, and be stirred up, even to his fortress. 38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of FORCES: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. HOSEA 2 7 And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my FIRST husband; for then was it better with me than now. HOSEA 7 6 For they have made ready their heart like an oven, whiles they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth as a flaming FIRE. JOEL 1 19 O LORD, to thee will I cry: for the FIRE hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field. 20 The beasts of the field cry also unto thee: for the rivers of waters are dried up, and the FIRE hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness. JOEL 2 3 A FIRE devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them. 5 Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of FIRE that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array. 23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the FIRST month. 30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and FIRE, and pillars of smoke. AMOS 1 3 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for FOUR, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron: 4 But I will send a FIRE into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Benhadad. 6 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for FOUR, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom: 7 But I will send a FIRE on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof: 9 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for FOUR, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant: 10 But I will send a FIRE on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof. 11 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for FOUR, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever: 12 But I will send a FIRE upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah. 13 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for FOUR, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border: 14 But I will kindle a FIRE in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind: AMOS 2 1 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for FOUR, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime: 2 But I will send a FIRE upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kirioth: and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet: 4 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for FOUR, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err, after the which their fathers have walked: 5 But I will send a FIRE upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem. 6 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Israel, and for FOUR, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes; --MORE-- |
