DANIEL 9 1 In the FIRST year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans; 2 In the FIRST year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. DANIEL 10 4 And in the FOUR and twentieth day of the FIRST month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel; 6 His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of FIRE, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude. 12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the FIRST day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. DANIEL 11 1 Also I in the FIRST year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him. 4 And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the FOUR winds of heaven; and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those. 10 But his sons shall be stirred up, and shall assemble a multitude of great FORCES: and one shall certainly come, and overflow, and pass through: then shall he return, and be stirred up, even to his fortress. 38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of FORCES: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. HOSEA 2 7 And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my FIRST husband; for then was it better with me than now. AMOS 1 3 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for FOUR, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron: 4 But I will send a FIRE into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Benhadad. 6 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for FOUR, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom: 7 But I will send a FIRE on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof: 9 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for FOUR, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant: 10 But I will send a FIRE on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof. 11 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for FOUR, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever: 12 But I will send a FIRE upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah. 13 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for FOUR, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border: 14 But I will kindle a FIRE in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind: AMOS 2 1 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for FOUR, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime: 2 But I will send a FIRE upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kirioth: and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet: 4 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for FOUR, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err, after the which their fathers have walked: 5 But I will send a FIRE upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem. 6 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Israel, and for FOUR, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes; AMOS 5 6 Seek the LORD, and ye shall live; lest he break out like FIRE in the house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Bethel. AMOS 6 7 Therefore now shall they go captive with the FIRST that go captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be removed. AMOS 7 4 Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and, behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by FIRE, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part. OBADIAH 1 11 In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away captive his FORCES, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou wast as one of them. 18 And the house of Jacob shall be a FIRE, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the LORD hath spoken it. MICAH 1 4 And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the FIRE, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place. 7 And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the FIRE, and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot. MICAH 4 8 And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the FIRST dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem. NAHUM 1 6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like FIRE, and the rocks are thrown down by him. HABAKKUK 2 13 Behold, is it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labour in the very FIRE, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity? HABAKKUK 3 13 Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the FOUNDATION unto the neck. ZEPHANIAH 1 18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the FIRE of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land. ZEPHANIAH 3 8 Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the FIRE of my jealousy.
