JUDGES 15 10 And the men of Judah said, Why are ye come up against us? And they answered, To bind Samson are we come up, to do to him AS he hath done to us. 11 Then three thousand men of Judah went to the top of the rock Etam, and said to Samson, Knowest thou not that the Philistines are rulers over us? what is this that thou hast done unto us? And he said unto them, AS they did unto me, so have I done unto them. 14 And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became AS flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands. JUDGES 16 3 And Samson lay till midnight, and AROSE at midnight, and took the doors of the gate of the city, and the two posts, and went away with them, bar and all, and put them upon his shoulders, and carried them up to the top of an hill that is before Hebron. 7 And Samson said unto her, If they bind me with seven green withs that were never dried, then shall I be weak, and be AS another man. 9 Now there were men lying in wait, abiding with her in the chamber. And she said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he brake the withs, AS a thread of tow is broken when it toucheth the fire. So his strength was not known. 11 And he said unto her, If they bind me fast with new ropes that never were occupied, then shall I be weak, and be AS another man. 20 And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out AS at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him. JUDGES 17 8 And the man departed out of the city from Bethlehemjudah to sojourn where he could find a place: and he came to mount Ephraim to the house of Micah, AS he journeyed. 11 And the Levite was content to dwell with the man; and the young man was unto him AS one of his sons. JUDGES 19 3 And her husband AROSE, and went after her, to speak friendly unto her, and to bring her again, having his servant with him, and a couple of asses: and she brought him into her father's house: and when the father of the damsel saw him, he rejoiced to meet him. 5 And it came to pass on the fourth day, when they AROSE early in the morning, that he rose up to depart: and the damsel's father said unto his son in law, Comfort thine heart with a morsel of bread, and afterward go your way. 8 And he AROSE early in the morning on the fifth day to depart; and the damsel's father said, Comfort thine heart, I pray thee. And the LORD said, Judah shall go up first. 30 And the children of Israel went up against the children of Benjamin on the third day, and put themselves in array against Gibeah, AS at other times. 31 And the children of Benjamin went out against the people, and were drawn away from the city; and they began to smite of the people, and kill, AS at other times, in the highways, of which one goeth up to the house of God, and the other to Gibeah in the field, about thirty men of Israel. 32 And the children of Benjamin said, They are smitten down before us, AS at the first. But the children of Israel said, Let us flee, and draw them from the city unto the highways. 39 And when the men of Israel retired in the battle, Benjamin began to smite and kill of the men of Israel about thirty persons: for they said, Surely they are smitten down before us, AS in the first battle. 48 And the men of Israel turned again upon the children of Benjamin, and smote them with the edge of the sword, AS well the men of every city, AS the beast, and all that came to hand: also they set on fire all the cities that they came to. Now therefore get you up; for about this time ye shall find him. 20 And AS for thine asses that were lost three days ago, set not thy mind on them; for they are found. And on whom is all the desire of Israel? Is it not on thee, and on all thy father's house? 26 And they AROSE early: and it came to pass about the spring of the day, that Samuel called Saul to the top of the house, saying, Up, that I may send thee away. And Saul AROSE, and they went out both of them, he and Samuel, abroad. 27 And AS they were going down to the end of the city, Samuel said to Saul, Bid the servant pass on before us, (and he passed on), but stand thou still a while, that I may shew thee the word of God. 1 SAMUEL 10 7 And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do AS occasion serve thee; for God is with thee. 1 SAMUEL 12 15 But if ye will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be against you, AS it was against your fathers. 23 Moreover AS for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way: --MORE-- |
