JUDGES 20 1 Then all the children of Israel went out, and the congregation was gathered together AS one man, from Dan even to Beersheba, with the land of Gilead, unto the LORD in Mizpeh. 8 And all the people AROSE AS one man, saying, We will not any of us go to his tent, neither will we any of us turn into his house. 11 So all the men of Israel were gathered against the city, knit together AS one man. 18 And the children of Israel AROSE, and went up to the house of God, and asked counsel of God, and said, Which of us shall go up first to the battle against the children of Benjamin? And the LORD said, Judah shall go up first. 30 And the children of Israel went up against the children of Benjamin on the third day, and put themselves in array against Gibeah, AS at other times. 31 And the children of Benjamin went out against the people, and were drawn away from the city; and they began to smite of the people, and kill, AS at other times, in the highways, of which one goeth up to the house of God, and the other to Gibeah in the field, about thirty men of Israel. 32 And the children of Benjamin said, They are smitten down before us, AS at the first. But the children of Israel said, Let us flee, and draw them from the city unto the highways. 39 And when the men of Israel retired in the battle, Benjamin began to smite and kill of the men of Israel about thirty persons: for they said, Surely they are smitten down before us, AS in the first battle. 48 And the men of Israel turned again upon the children of Benjamin, and smote them with the edge of the sword, AS well the men of every city, AS the beast, and all that came to hand: also they set on fire all the cities that they came to. And it came to pass, AS the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, They have brought about the ark of the God of Israel to us, to slay us and our people. 1 SAMUEL 6 6 Wherefore then do ye harden your hearts, AS the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? when he had wrought wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go, and they departed? 12 And the kine took the straight way to the way of Bethshemesh, and went along the highway, lowing AS they went, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them unto the border of Bethshemesh. 1 SAMUEL 7 10 And AS Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before Israel. 1 SAMUEL 9 11 And AS they went up the hill to the city, they found young maidens going out to draw water, and said unto them, Is the seer here? 13 AS soon AS ye be come into the city, ye shall straightway find him, before he go up to the high place to eat: for the people will not eat until he come, because he doth bless the sacrifice; and afterwards they eat that be bidden. Now therefore get you up; for about this time ye shall find him. 20 And AS for thine asses that were lost three days ago, set not thy mind on them; for they are found. And on whom is all the desire of Israel? Is it not on thee, and on all thy father's house? 26 And they AROSE early: and it came to pass about the spring of the day, that Samuel called Saul to the top of the house, saying, Up, that I may send thee away. And Saul AROSE, and they went out both of them, he and Samuel, abroad. 27 And AS they were going down to the end of the city, Samuel said to Saul, Bid the servant pass on before us, (and he passed on), but stand thou still a while, that I may shew thee the word of God. 1 SAMUEL 10 7 And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do AS occasion serve thee; for God is with thee. 1 SAMUEL 12 15 But if ye will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be against you, AS it was against your fathers. 23 Moreover AS for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way: 1 SAMUEL 13 5 And the Philistines gathered themselves together to fight with Israel, thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and people AS the sand which is on the sea shore in multitude: and they came up, and pitched in Michmash, eastward from Bethaven. 7 And some of the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. And Saul numbered the people that were present with him, about six hundred men. 1 SAMUEL 14 14 And that first slaughter, which Jonathan and his armourbearer made, was about twenty men, within AS it were an half acre of land, which a yoke of oxen might plow. 39 For, AS the LORD liveth, which saveth Israel, though it be in Jonathan my son, he shall surely die. But there was not a man among all the people that answered him. 45 And the people said unto Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who hath wrought this great salvation in Israel? God forbid: AS the LORD liveth, there shall not one hair of his head fall to the ground; for he hath wrought with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he died not. --MORE-- |
