And AS soon AS he was departed from him, a lion found him, and slew him. 39 And AS the king passed by, he cried unto the king: and he said, Thy servant went out into the midst of the battle; and, behold, a man turned aside, and brought a man unto me, and said, Keep this man: if by any means he be missing, then shall thy life be for his life, or else thou shalt pay a talent of silver. 40 And AS thy servant was busy here and there, he was gone. So they went down to Bethel. 4 And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, AS the LORD liveth, and AS thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho. 6 And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the LORD hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, AS the LORD liveth, and AS thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on. 11 And it came to pass, AS they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. 19 And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, AS my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren. 23 And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and AS he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. 2 KINGS 3 7 And he went and sent to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying, The king of Moab hath rebelled against me: wilt thou go with me against Moab to battle? And he said, I will go up: I am AS thou art, my people AS thy people, and my horses AS thy horses. 14 And Elisha said, AS the LORD of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward thee, nor see thee. 22 And they rose up early in the morning, and the sun shone upon the water, and the Moabites saw the water on the other side AS red AS blood: 2 KINGS 4 8 And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that AS oft AS he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread. 30 And the mother of the child said, AS the LORD liveth, and AS thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And he AROSE, and followed her. 40 So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, AS they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And he urged him to take it; but he refused. 20 But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master hath spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: but, AS the LORD liveth, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him. 27 The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper AS white AS snow. 2 KINGS 6 5 But AS one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! for it was borrowed. 26 And AS the king of Israel was passing by upon the wall, there cried a woman unto him, saying, Help, my lord, O king. 2 KINGS 7 7 Wherefore they AROSE and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp AS it was, and fled for their life. 10 So they came and called unto the porter of the city: and they told them, saying, We came to the camp of the Syrians, and, behold, there was no man there, neither voice of man, but horses tied, and asses tied, and the tents AS they were. 12 And the king AROSE in the night, and said unto his servants, I will now shew you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we be hungry; therefore are they gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying, When they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, and get into the city. 13 And one of his servants answered and said, Let some take, I pray thee, five of the horses that remain, which are left in the city, (behold, they are AS all the multitude of Israel that are left in it: behold, I say, they are even AS all the multitude of the Israelites that are consumed:) and let us send and see. 17 And the king appointed the lord on whose hand he leaned to have the charge of the gate: and the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died, AS the man of God had said, who spake when the king came down to him. 18 And it came to pass AS the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, Two measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine flour for a shekel, shall be to morrow about this time in the gate of Samaria: --MORE-- |
