And he said unto them, Behold, the king's son shall reign, AS the LORD hath said of the sons of David. 13 And she looked, and, behold, the king stood at his pillar at the entering in, and the princes and the trumpets by the king: and all the people of the land rejoiced, and sounded with trumpets, also the singers with instruments of musick, and such AS taught to sing praise. Then Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason, Treason. 18 Also Jehoiada appointed the offices of the house of the LORD by the hand of the priests the Levites, whom David had distributed in the house of the LORD, to offer the burnt offerings of the LORD, AS it is written in the law of Moses, with rejoicing and with singing, AS it was ordained by David. 2 CHRONICLES 24 12 And the king and Jehoiada gave it to such AS did the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and hired masons and carpenters to repair the house of the LORD, and also such AS wrought iron and brass to mend the house of the LORD. 2 CHRONICLES 25 4 But he slew not their children, but did AS it is written in the law in the book of Moses, where the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not die for the children, neither shall the children die for the fathers, but every man shall die for his own sin. 16 And it came to pass, AS he talked with him, that the king said unto him, Art thou made of the king's counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel. 2 CHRONICLES 26 5 And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and AS long AS he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper. 2 CHRONICLES 29 8 Wherefore the wrath of the LORD was upon Judah and Jerusalem, and he hath delivered them to trouble, to astonishment, and to hissing, AS ye see with your eyes. 12 Then the Levites AROSE, Mahath the son of Amasai, and Joel the son of Azariah, of the sons of the Kohathites: and of the sons of Merari, Kish the son of Abdi, and Azariah the son of Jehalelel: and of the Gershonites; Joah the son of Zimmah, and Eden the son of Joah: 31 Then Hezekiah answered and said, Now ye have consecrated yourselves unto the LORD, come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of the LORD. And the congregation brought in sacrifices and thank offerings; and AS many AS were of a free heart burnt offerings. 2 CHRONICLES 30 5 So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel at Jerusalem: for they had not done it of a long time in such sort AS it was written. 7 And be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against the LORD God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to desolation, AS ye see. 8 Now be ye not stiffnecked, AS your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the LORD, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you. 14 And they AROSE and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense took they away, and cast them into the brook Kidron. 27 Then the priests the Levites AROSE and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy dwelling place, even unto heaven. 2 CHRONICLES 31 3 He appointed also the king's portion of his substance for the burnt offerings, to wit, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the sabbaths, and for the new moons, and for the set feasts, AS it is written in the law of the LORD. 5 And AS soon AS the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel brought in abundance the firstfruits of corn, wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field; and the tithe of all things brought they in abundantly. 15 And next him were Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, in their set office, to give to their brethren by courses, AS well to the great AS to the small: 2 CHRONICLES 32 17 He wrote also letters to rail on the LORD God of Israel, and to speak against him, saying, AS the gods of the nations of other lands have not delivered their people out of mine hand, so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver his people out of mine hand. 19 And they spake against the God of Jerusalem, AS against the gods of the people of the earth, which were the work of the hands of man. --MORE-- |
