EZRA 9 5 And at the evening sacrifice I AROSE up from my heaviness; and having rent my garment and my mantle, I fell upon my knees, and spread out my hands unto the LORD my God, 7 Since the days of our fathers have we been in a great trespass unto this day; and for our iniquities have we, our kings, and our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and to confusion of face, AS it is this day. 13 And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and hast given us such deliverance AS this; 15 O LORD God of Israel, thou art righteous: for we remain yet escaped, AS it is this day: behold, we are before thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee because of this. EZRA 10 3 Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such AS are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those that tremble at the commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the law. 5 Then AROSE Ezra, and made the chief priests, the Levites, and all Israel, to swear that they should do according to this word. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work. So didst thou get thee a name, AS it is this day. 11 And thou didst divide the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; and their persecutors thou threwest into the deeps, AS a stone into the mighty waters. 23 Their children also multipliedst thou AS the stars of heaven, and broughtest them into the land, concerning which thou hadst promised to their fathers, that they should go in to possess it. 24 So the children went in and possessed the land, and thou subduedst before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gavest them into their hands, with their kings, and the people of the land, that they might do with them AS they would. NEHEMIAH 10 34 And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, after the houses of our fathers, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, AS it is written in the law: 36 Also the firstborn of our sons, and of our cattle, AS it is written in the law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks, to bring to the house of our God, unto the priests that minister in the house of our God: NEHEMIAH 13 15 In those days saw I in Judah some treading wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; AS also wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I testified against them in the day wherein they sold victuals. ESTHER 2 9 And the maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness of him; and he speedily gave her her things for purification, with such things AS belonged to her, and seven maidens, which were meet to be given her, out of the king's house: and he preferred her and her maids unto the best place of the house of the women. 20 Esther had not yet shewed her kindred nor her people; AS Mordecai had charged her: for Esther did the commandment of Mordecai, like AS when she was brought up with him. --MORE-- |
