ACTS 13 1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; AS Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 2 AS they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. 17 The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt AS strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought he them out of it. 25 And AS John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose. 33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; AS it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. 34 And AS concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David. 48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and AS many AS were ordained to eternal life believed. ACTS 14 20 Howbeit, AS the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe. ACTS 15 8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even AS he did unto us; 11 But we believe that through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even AS they. 15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; AS it is written, 24 Forasmuch AS we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment: ACTS 16 4 And AS they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem. 16 And it came to pass, AS we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: ACTS 17 2 And Paul, AS his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, 14 And then immediately the brethren sent away Paul to go AS it were to the sea: but Silas and Timotheus abode there still. 23 For AS I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. 25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, AS though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; AS certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. 29 Forasmuch then AS we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. ACTS 19 2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much AS heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. 23 And the same time there AROSE no small stir about that way. ACTS 20 3 And there abode three months. And when the Jews laid wait for him, AS he was about to sail into Syria, he purposed to return through Macedonia. 9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and AS Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead. ACTS 21 10 And AS we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus. 25 AS touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication. 31 And AS they went about to kill him, tidings came unto the chief captain of the band, that all Jerusalem was in an uproar. 37 And AS Paul was to be led into the castle, he said unto the chief captain, May I speak unto thee? Who said, Canst thou speak Greek? ACTS 22 3 I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, AS ye all are this day. 5 AS also the high priest doth bear me witness, and all the estate of the elders: from whom also I received letters unto the brethren, and went to Damascus, to bring them which were there bound unto Jerusalem, for to be punished. 6 And it came to pass, that, AS I made my journey, and was come nigh unto Damascus about noon, suddenly there shone from heaven a great light round about me. 23 And AS they cried out, and cast off their clothes, and threw dust into the air, 25 And AS they bound him with thongs, Paul said unto the centurion that stood by, Is it lawful for you to scourge a man that is a Roman, and uncondemned? ACTS 23 7 And when he had so said, there AROSE a dissension between the Pharisees and the Sadducees: and the multitude was divided. 9 And there AROSE a great cry: and the scribes that were of the Pharisees' part AROSE, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God. 10 And when there AROSE a great dissension, the chief captain, fearing lest Paul should have been pulled in pieces of them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and to take him by force from among them, and to bring him into the castle. 11 And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for AS thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome. 15 Now therefore ye with the council signify to the chief captain that he bring him down unto you to morrow, AS though ye would enquire something more perfectly concerning him: and we, or ever he come near, are ready to kill him. 20 And he said, The Jews have agreed to desire thee that thou wouldest bring down Paul to morrow into the council, AS though they would enquire somewhat of him more perfectly. 31 Then the soldiers, AS it was commanded them, took Paul, and brought him by night to Antipatris. ACTS 24 10 Then Paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, Forasmuch AS I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself: 25 And AS he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee. ACTS 25 10 Then said Paul, I stand at Caesar's judgment seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, AS thou very well knowest. 18 Against whom when the accusers stood up, they brought none accusation of such things AS I supposed: ACTS 26 12 Whereupon AS I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, 24 And AS he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad. 29 And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such AS I am, except these bonds. ACTS 27 14 But not long after there AROSE against it a tempestuous wind, called Euroclydon. 25 Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even AS it was told me. 27 But when the fourteenth night was come, AS we were driven up and down in Adria, about midnight the shipmen deemed that they drew near to some country; 30 And AS the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour AS though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship, --MORE-- |
