ECCLESIASTES 4 14 For out of PRISON he cometh to reign; whereas also he that is born in his kingdom becometh poor. ECCLESIASTES 12 9 And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many PROVERBS. ISAIAH 9 9 And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the PRIDE and stoutness of heart, ISAIAH 16 6 We have heard of the PRIDE of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness, and his PRIDE, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so. ISAIAH 23 9 The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the PRIDE of all glory, and to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth. ISAIAH 24 22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the PRISON, and after many days shall they be visited. ISAIAH 25 11 And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their PRIDE together with the spoils of their hands. ISAIAH 28 1 Woe to the crown of PRIDE, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine! 3 The crown of PRIDE, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet: ISAIAH 42 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the PRISON, and them that sit in darkness out of the PRISON house. 22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in PRISON houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore. ISAIAH 53 8 He was taken from PRISON and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. ISAIAH 61 1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the PRISON to them that are bound; JEREMIAH 13 9 Thus saith the LORD, After this manner will I mar the PRIDE of Judah, and the great PRIDE of Jerusalem. 17 But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your PRIDE; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD's flock is carried away captive. JEREMIAH 29 26 The LORD hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that ye should be officers in the house of the LORD, for every man that is mad, and maketh himself a prophet, that thou shouldest put him in PRISON, and in the stocks. JEREMIAH 32 2 For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the PRISON, which was in the king of Judah's house. 8 So Hanameel mine uncle's son came to me in the court of the PRISON according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is thine; buy it for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD. 12 And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the PRISON. JEREMIAH 33 1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the PRISON, saying, JEREMIAH 37 4 Now Jeremiah came in and went out among the people: for they had not put him into PRISON. 15 Wherefore the princes were wroth with Jeremiah, and smote him, and put him in PRISON in the house of Jonathan the scribe: for they had made that the PRISON. 18 Moreover Jeremiah said unto king Zedekiah, What have I offended against thee, or against thy servants, or against this people, that ye have put me in PRISON? 21 Then Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah into the court of the PRISON, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread out of the bakers' street, until all the bread in the city were spent. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the PRISON. JEREMIAH 38 6 Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that was in the court of the PRISON: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire: so Jeremiah sunk in the mire. 13 So they drew up Jeremiah with cords, and took him up out of the dungeon: and Jeremiah remained in the court of the PRISON. 28 So Jeremiah abode in the court of the PRISON until the day that Jerusalem was taken: and he was there when Jerusalem was taken. JEREMIAH 39 14 Even they sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the PRISON, and committed him unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, that he should carry him home: so he dwelt among the people. 15 Now the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, while he was shut up in the court of the PRISON, saying, JEREMIAH 48 29 We have heard the PRIDE of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his loftiness, and his arrogancy, and his PRIDE, and the haughtiness of his heart. JEREMIAH 49 16 Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, and the PRIDE of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 52 11 Then he put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in chains, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in PRISON till the day of his death. 31 And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth day of the month, that Evilmerodach king of Babylon in the first year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of PRISON. 33 And changed his PRISON garments: and he did continually eat bread before him all the days of his life. EZEKIEL 7 10 Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, PRIDE hath budded. EZEKIEL 16 44 Behold, every one that useth PROVERBS shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter. 49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, PRIDE, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. 56 For thy sister Sodom was not mentioned by thy mouth in the day of thy PRIDE, EZEKIEL 30 6 Thus saith the LORD; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the PRIDE of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord GOD. DANIEL 4 37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in PRIDE he is able to abase. DANIEL 5 20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in PRIDE, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him: HOSEA 5 5 And the PRIDE of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity: Judah also shall fall with them. HOSEA 7 10 And the PRIDE of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this. OBADIAH 1 3 The PRIDE of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground? ZEPHANIAH 2 10 This shall they have for their PRIDE, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of the LORD of hosts. ZEPHANIAH 3 11 In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy PRIDE, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain. ZECHARIAH 9 6 And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the PRIDE of the Philistines. ZECHARIAH 10 11 And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the PRIDE of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away. ZECHARIAH 11 3 There is a voice of the howling of the shepherds; for their glory is spoiled: a voice of the roaring of young lions; for the PRIDE of Jordan is spoiled.
