PROVERBS 15 26 The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the PURE are pleasant words. PROVERBS 20 9 Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am PURE from my sin? 11 Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be PURE, and whether it be right. PROVERBS 21 8 The way of man is froward and strange: but as for the PURE, his work is right. PROVERBS 23 28 She also lieth in wait as for a PREY, and increaseth the transgressors among men. PROVERBS 30 5 Every word of God is PURE: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. 12 There is a generation that are PURE in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. ECCLESIASTES 4 14 For out of PRISON he cometh to reign; whereas also he that is born in his kingdom becometh poor. ISAIAH 5 29 Their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the PREY, and shall carry it away safe, and none shall deliver it. ISAIAH 10 2 To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their PREY, and that they may rob the fatherless! 6 I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the PREY, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets. ISAIAH 24 22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the PRISON, and after many days shall they be visited. ISAIAH 31 4 For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his PREY, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof. ISAIAH 33 23 Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the PREY of a great spoil divided; the lame take the PREY. ISAIAH 41 21 PRODUCE your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob. ISAIAH 42 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the PRISON, and them that sit in darkness out of the PRISON house. 22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in PRISON houses: they are for a PREY, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore. ISAIAH 49 24 Shall the PREY be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? 25 But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the PREY of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children. ISAIAH 53 8 He was taken from PRISON and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. ISAIAH 59 15 Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a PREY: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment. ISAIAH 61 1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the PRISON to them that are bound; JEREMIAH 21 9 He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a PREY. JEREMIAH 29 26 The LORD hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that ye should be officers in the house of the LORD, for every man that is mad, and maketh himself a prophet, that thou shouldest put him in PRISON, and in the stocks. JEREMIAH 30 16 Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that PREY upon thee will I give for a PREY. JEREMIAH 32 2 For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the PRISON, which was in the king of Judah's house. 8 So Hanameel mine uncle's son came to me in the court of the PRISON according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is thine; buy it for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD. 12 And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the PRISON. JEREMIAH 33 1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the PRISON, saying, JEREMIAH 37 4 Now Jeremiah came in and went out among the people: for they had not put him into PRISON. 15 Wherefore the princes were wroth with Jeremiah, and smote him, and put him in PRISON in the house of Jonathan the scribe: for they had made that the PRISON. 18 Moreover Jeremiah said unto king Zedekiah, What have I offended against thee, or against thy servants, or against this people, that ye have put me in PRISON? 21 Then Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah into the court of the PRISON, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread out of the bakers' street, until all the bread in the city were spent. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the PRISON. JEREMIAH 38 2 Thus saith the LORD, He that remaineth in this city shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth forth to the Chaldeans shall live; for he shall have his life for a PREY, and shall live. 6 Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that was in the court of the PRISON: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire: so Jeremiah sunk in the mire. 13 So they drew up Jeremiah with cords, and took him up out of the dungeon: and Jeremiah remained in the court of the PRISON. 28 So Jeremiah abode in the court of the PRISON until the day that Jerusalem was taken: and he was there when Jerusalem was taken. JEREMIAH 39 14 Even they sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the PRISON, and committed him unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, that he should carry him home: so he dwelt among the people. 15 Now the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, while he was shut up in the court of the PRISON, saying, 18 For I will surely deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword, but thy life shall be for a PREY unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 45 5 And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a PREY in all places whither thou goest. JEREMIAH 52 11 Then he put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in chains, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in PRISON till the day of his death. 31 And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth day of the month, that Evilmerodach king of Babylon in the first year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of PRISON. 33 And changed his PRISON garments: and he did continually eat bread before him all the days of his life. EZEKIEL 7 21 And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a PREY, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it. EZEKIEL 19 3 And she brought up one of her whelps: it became a young lion, and it learned to catch the PREY; it devoured men. 6 And he went up and down among the lions, he became a young lion, and learned to catch the PREY, and devoured men. EZEKIEL 22 25 There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the PREY; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof. 27 Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the PREY, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain. EZEKIEL 26 12 And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a PREY of thy merchandise: and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses: and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the water. --MORE-- |
