DEUTERONOMY 4 21 Furthermore the LORD WAS angry with me for your sakes, and sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that good land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance: 35 Unto thee it WAS shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him. DEUTERONOMY 5 5 (I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD: for ye were AFRAID by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying, DEUTERONOMY 7 18 Thou shalt not be AFRAID of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt; 19 The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee out: so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art AFRAID. DEUTERONOMY 8 2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what WAS in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. 15 Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there WAS no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint; DEUTERONOMY 9 8 Also in Horeb ye provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD WAS angry with you to have destroyed you. 9 When I WAS gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant which the LORD made with you, then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights, I neither did eat bread nor drink water: 10 And the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and on them WAS written according to all the words, which the LORD spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly. 19 For I WAS AFRAID of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD WAS wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also. 20 And the LORD WAS very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time. 21 And I took your sin, the calf which ye had made, and burnt it with fire, and stamped it, and ground it very small, even until it WAS as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the brook that descended out of the mount. 28 Lest the land whence thou broughtest us out say, Because the LORD WAS not able to bring them into the land which he promised them, and because he hated them, he hath brought them out to slay them in the wilderness. DEUTERONOMY 10 6 And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera: there Aaron died, and there he WAS buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his stead. DEUTERONOMY 11 6 And what he did unto Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben: how the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their households, and their tents, and all the substance that WAS in their possession, in the midst of all Israel: DEUTERONOMY 18 22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be AFRAID of him. DEUTERONOMY 19 6 Lest the avenger of the blood pursue the slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and slay him; whereas he WAS not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past. DEUTERONOMY 20 1 When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not AFRAID of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. DEUTERONOMY 21 15 If a man have two wives, one beloved, and another hated, and they have born him children, both the beloved and the hated; and if the firstborn son be hers that WAS hated: DEUTERONOMY 22 27 For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there WAS none to save her. DEUTERONOMY 26 5 And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish WAS my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous: DEUTERONOMY 28 10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be AFRAID of thee. 60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast AFRAID of; and they shall cleave unto thee. DEUTERONOMY 29 27 And the anger of the LORD WAS kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book: DEUTERONOMY 31 6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be AFRAID of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. DEUTERONOMY 32 12 So the LORD alone did lead him, and there WAS no strange god with him. 50 And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and WAS gathered unto his people: DEUTERONOMY 33 5 And he WAS king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together. 16 And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that WAS separated from his brethren. 21 And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, WAS he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel. DEUTERONOMY 34 7 And Moses WAS an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye WAS not dim, nor his natural force abated. 9 And Joshua the son of Nun WAS full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses. JOSHUA 1 5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I WAS with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not AFRAID, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. 17 According as we hearkened unto Moses in all things, so will we hearken unto thee: only the LORD thy God be with thee, as he WAS with Moses. JOSHUA 2 2 And it WAS told the king of Jericho, saying, Behold, there came men in hither to night of the children of Israel to search out the country. 5 And it came to pass about the time of shutting of the gate, when it WAS dark, that the men went out: whither the men went I wot not: pursue after them quickly; for ye shall overtake them. 15 Then she let them down by a cord through the window: for her house WAS upon the town wall, and she dwelt upon the wall. JOSHUA 3 7 And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I WAS with Moses, so I will be with thee. JOSHUA 4 10 For the priests which bare the ark stood in the midst of Jordan, until everything WAS finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to speak unto the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua: and the people hasted and passed over. JOSHUA 5 1 And it came to pass, when all the kings of the Amorites, which were on the side of Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, which were by the sea, heard that the LORD had dried up the waters of Jordan from before the children of Israel, until we were passed over, that their heart melted, neither WAS there spirit in them any more, because of the children of Israel. 13 And it came to pass, when Joshua WAS by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? JOSHUA 6 1 Now Jericho WAS straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in. 21 And they utterly destroyed all that WAS in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword. 24 And they burnt the city with fire, and all that WAS therein: only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the LORD. 27 So the LORD WAS with Joshua; and his fame WAS noised throughout all the country. JOSHUA 7 1 But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD WAS kindled against the children of Israel. 16 So Joshua rose up early in the morning, and brought Israel by their tribes; and the tribe of Judah WAS taken: 17 And he brought the family of Judah; and he took the family of the Zarhites: and he brought the family of the Zarhites man by man; and Zabdi WAS taken: 18 And he brought his household man by man; and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, WAS taken. 22 So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran unto the tent; and, behold, it WAS hid in his tent, and the silver under it. 26 And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place WAS called, The valley of Achor, unto this day. --MORE-- |
