But Jonah WAS gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and WAS fast asleep. 10 Then were the men exceedingly AFRAID, and said unto him. Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them. 11 Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and WAS tempestuous. 13 Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and WAS tempestuous against them. 17 Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah WAS in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. JONAH 2 6 I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars WAS about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God. JONAH 3 3 So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh WAS an exceeding great city of three days' journey. JONAH 4 1 But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he WAS very angry. 2 And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, WAS not this my saying, when I WAS yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil. 6 And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah WAS exceeding glad of the gourd. MICAH 4 4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them AFRAID: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it. 7 And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that WAS cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever. MICAH 7 17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be AFRAID of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee. HABAKKUK 2 17 For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts, which made them AFRAID, because of men's blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein. HABAKKUK 3 2 O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and WAS AFRAID: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy. 3 God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth WAS full of his praise. 4 And his brightness WAS as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there WAS the hiding of his power. 8 WAS the LORD displeased against the rivers? WAS thine anger against the rivers? WAS thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation? 9 Thy bow WAS made quite naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy word. Selah. Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers. 14 Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing WAS as to devour the poor secretly. ZEPHANIAH 3 13 The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them AFRAID. 18 I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of thee, to whom the reproach of it WAS a burden. 19 Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that WAS driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame. HAGGAI 2 15 And now, I pray you, consider from this day and upward, from before a stone WAS laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD: 18 Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD's temple WAS laid, consider it.
