MARK 14 1 After two days WAS the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death. 4 And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why WAS this waste of the ointment made? 32 And they came to a place which WAS named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray. 45 And as soon as he WAS come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him. 49 I WAS daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled. 66 And as Peter WAS beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest: MARK 15 7 And there WAS one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection. 25 And it WAS the third hour, and they crucified him. 26 And the superscription of his accusation WAS written over, THE KING OF THE JEWS. 28 And the scripture WAS fulfilled, which saith, And he WAS numbered with the transgressors. 33 And when the sixth hour WAS come, there WAS darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. 38 And the veil of the temple WAS rent in twain from the top to the bottom. 39 And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man WAS the Son of God. 40 There were also women looking on afar off: among whom WAS Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome; 41 (Who also, when he WAS in Galilee, followed him, and ministered unto him;) and many other women which came up with him unto Jerusalem. 42 And now when the even WAS come, because it WAS the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath, 46 And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which WAS hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre. 47 And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he WAS laid. MARK 16 1 And when the sabbath WAS past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. 4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone WAS rolled away: for it WAS very great. 6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which WAS crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. 8 And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were AFRAID. 9 Now when Jesus WAS risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. 11 And they, when they had heard that he WAS alive, and had been seen of her, believed not. 14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he WAS risen. 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he WAS received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. LUKE 1 5 THERE WAS in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife WAS of the daughters of Aaron, and her name WAS Elisabeth. 7 And they had no child, because that Elisabeth WAS barren, and they both were now well stricken in years. 9 According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot WAS to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord. 12 And when Zacharias saw him, he WAS troubled, and fear fell upon him. 26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel WAS sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name WAS Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name WAS Mary. 29 And when she saw him, she WAS troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. 36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who WAS called barren. 41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth WAS filled with the Holy Ghost: 64 And his mouth WAS opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God. 66 And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord WAS with him. 67 And his father Zacharias WAS filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying, 80 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and WAS in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel. LUKE 2 2 (And this taxing WAS first made when Cyrenius WAS governor of Syria.) 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he WAS of the house and lineage of David:) 6 And so it WAS, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there WAS no room for them in the inn. 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore AFRAID. 13 And suddenly there WAS with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which WAS told them concerning this child. 20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it WAS told unto them. 21 And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name WAS called JESUS, which WAS so named of the angel before he WAS conceived in the womb. 25 And, behold, there WAS a man in Jerusalem, whose name WAS Simeon; and the same man WAS just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost WAS upon him. 26 And it WAS revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ. 36 And there WAS one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she WAS of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; 37 And she WAS a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. 40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God WAS upon him. 42 And when he WAS twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. 51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and WAS subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart. --MORE-- |
