ACTS 4 3 And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it WAS now eventide. 4 Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men WAS about five thousand. 11 This is the stone which WAS set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 14 And beholding the man which WAS healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. 21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which WAS done. 22 For the man WAS above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing WAS shewed. 31 And when they had prayed, the place WAS shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. 32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed WAS his own; but they had all things common. 33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace WAS upon them all. 34 Neither WAS there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, 35 And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution WAS made unto every man according as he had need. 36 And Joses, who by the apostles WAS surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus, ACTS 5 4 Whiles it remained, WAS it not thine own? and after it WAS sold, WAS it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. 7 And it WAS about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what WAS done, came in. 36 For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who WAS slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought. ACTS 6 1 And in those days, when the number of the disciples WAS multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration. ACTS 7 2 And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he WAS in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran, 4 Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father WAS dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell. 9 And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God WAS with him, 12 But when Jacob heard that there WAS corn in Egypt, he sent out our fathers first. 13 And at the second time Joseph WAS made known to his brethren; and Joseph's kindred WAS made known unto Pharaoh. 20 In which time Moses WAS born, and WAS exceeding fair, and nourished up in his father's house three months: 21 And when he WAS cast out, Pharaoh's daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son. 22 And Moses WAS learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and WAS mighty in words and in deeds. 23 And when he WAS full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel. 24 And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that WAS oppressed, and smote the Egyptian: 29 Then fled Moses at this saying, and WAS a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat two sons. 38 This is he, that WAS in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us: 58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name WAS Saul. ACTS 8 1 And Saul WAS consenting unto his death. And at that time there WAS a great persecution against the church which WAS at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles. 8 And there WAS great joy in that city. 9 But there WAS a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself WAS some great one: 13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he WAS baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. 16 (For as yet he WAS fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) 18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost WAS given, he offered them money, 28 WAS returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet. 32 The place of the scripture which he read WAS this, He WAS led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: 33 In his humiliation his judgment WAS taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. 40 But Philip WAS found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea. ACTS 9 9 And he WAS three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink. 10 And there WAS a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. 18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and WAS baptized. 19 And when he had received meat, he WAS strengthened. Then WAS Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus. 24 But their laying await WAS known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him. 26 And when Saul WAS come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all AFRAID of him, and believed not that he WAS a disciple. 28 And he WAS with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem. 33 And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and WAS sick of the palsy. 36 Now there WAS at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman WAS full of good works and almsdeeds which she did. 37 And it came to pass in those days, that she WAS sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber. 38 And forasmuch as Lydda WAS nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter WAS there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them. 39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he WAS come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she WAS with them. 42 And it WAS known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord. --MORE-- |
