LUKE 2 2 (And this taxing WAS first made when Cyrenius WAS governor of Syria.) 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he WAS of the house and lineage of David:) 6 And so it WAS, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there WAS no room for them in the inn. 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore AFRAID. 13 And suddenly there WAS with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which WAS told them concerning this child. 20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it WAS told unto them. 21 And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name WAS called JESUS, which WAS so named of the angel before he WAS conceived in the womb. 25 And, behold, there WAS a man in Jerusalem, whose name WAS Simeon; and the same man WAS just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost WAS upon him. 26 And it WAS revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ. 36 And there WAS one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she WAS of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; 37 And she WAS a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. 40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God WAS upon him. 42 And when he WAS twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. 51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and WAS subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart. LUKE 3 21 Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven WAS opened, 23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as WAS supposed) the son of Joseph, which WAS the son of Heli, 24 Which WAS the son of Matthat, which WAS the son of Levi, which WAS the son of Melchi, which WAS the son of Janna, which WAS the son of Joseph, 25 Which WAS the son of Mattathias, which WAS the son of Amos, which WAS the son of Naum, which WAS the son of Esli, which WAS the son of Nagge, 26 Which WAS the son of Maath, which WAS the son of Mattathias, which WAS the son of Semei, which WAS the son of Joseph, which WAS the son of Juda, 27 Which WAS the son of Joanna, which WAS the son of Rhesa, which WAS the son of Zorobabel, which WAS the son of Salathiel, which WAS the son of Neri, 28 Which WAS the son of Melchi, which WAS the son of Addi, which WAS the son of Cosam, which WAS the son of Elmodam, which WAS the son of Er, 29 Which WAS the son of Jose, which WAS the son of Eliezer, which WAS the son of Jorim, which WAS the son of Matthat, which WAS the son of Levi, 30 Which WAS the son of Simeon, which WAS the son of Juda, which WAS the son of Joseph, which WAS the son of Jonan, which WAS the son of Eliakim, 31 Which WAS the son of Melea, which WAS the son of Menan, which WAS the son of Mattatha, which WAS the son of Nathan, which WAS the son of David, 32 Which WAS the son of Jesse, which WAS the son of Obed, which WAS the son of Booz, which WAS the son of Salmon, which WAS the son of Naasson, 33 Which WAS the son of Aminadab, which WAS the son of Aram, which WAS the son of Esrom, which WAS the son of Phares, which WAS the son of Juda, 34 Which WAS the son of Jacob, which WAS the son of Isaac, which WAS the son of Abraham, which WAS the son of Thara, which WAS the son of Nachor, 35 Which WAS the son of Saruch, which WAS the son of Ragau, which WAS the son of Phalec, which WAS the son of Heber, which WAS the son of Sala, 36 Which WAS the son of Cainan, which WAS the son of Arphaxad, which WAS the son of Sem, which WAS the son of Noe, which WAS the son of Lamech, 37 Which WAS the son of Mathusala, which WAS the son of Enoch, which WAS the son of Jared, which WAS the son of Maleleel, which WAS the son of Cainan, 38 Which WAS the son of Enos, which WAS the son of Seth, which WAS the son of Adam, which WAS the son of God. LUKE 4 1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and WAS led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom WAS, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. 17 And there WAS delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it WAS written, 25 But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven WAS shut up three years and six months, when great famine WAS throughout all the land; 26 But unto none of them WAS Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that WAS a widow. 27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them WAS cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian. 29 And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city WAS built, that they might cast him down headlong. 32 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word WAS with power. 33 And in the synagogue there WAS a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice, 38 And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother WAS taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her. 40 Now when the sun WAS setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them. 41 And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he WAS Christ. 42 And when it WAS day, he departed and went into a desert place: and the people sought him, and came unto him, and stayed him, that he should not depart from them. LUKE 5 3 And he entered into one of the ships, which WAS Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. 9 For he WAS astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken: 10 And so WAS also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men. 12 And it came to pass, when he WAS in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he WAS teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord WAS present to heal them. 18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which WAS taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him. 29 And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there WAS a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them. 36 And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that WAS taken out of the new agreeth not with the old. --MORE-- |
