JOHN 7 2 Now the Jew's feast of tabernacles WAS at hand. 12 And there WAS much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people. 30 Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour WAS not yet come. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost WAS not yet given; because that Jesus WAS not yet glorified.) 42 Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David WAS? 43 So there WAS a division among the people because of him. JOHN 8 4 They say unto him, Master, this woman WAS taken in adultery, in the very act. 9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus WAS left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 20 These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour WAS not yet come. 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He WAS a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and WAS glad. 58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham WAS, I am. JOHN 9 1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which WAS blind from his birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he WAS born blind? 8 The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he WAS blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged? 13 They brought to the Pharisees him that aforetime WAS blind. 14 And it WAS the sabbath day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes. 16 Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there WAS a division among them. 19 And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say WAS born blind? how then doth he now see? 20 His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he WAS born blind: 22 These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he WAS Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue. 24 Then again called they the man that WAS blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner. 25 He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I WAS blind, now I see. 32 Since the world began WAS it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that WAS born blind. JOHN 10 19 There WAS a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings. 22 And it WAS at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it WAS winter. JOHN 11 1 Now a certain man WAS sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. 2 (It WAS that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus WAS sick.) 6 When he had heard therefore that he WAS sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he WAS. 15 And I am glad for your sakes that I WAS not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him. 18 Now Bethany WAS nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off: 20 Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus WAS coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house. 30 Now Jesus WAS not yet come into the town, but WAS in that place where Martha met him. 32 Then when Mary WAS come where Jesus WAS, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. 33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and WAS troubled. 38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It WAS a cave, and a stone lay upon it. 39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that WAS dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days. 41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead WAS laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. 44 And he that WAS dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face WAS bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go. 55 And the Jews' passover WAS nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves. JOHN 12 1 Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus WAS, which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead. 2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus WAS one of them that sat at the table with him. 3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house WAS filled with the odour of the ointment. 5 Why WAS not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? 6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he WAS a thief, and had the bag, and bare what WAS put therein. 9 Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he WAS there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead. 12 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus WAS coming to Jerusalem, 16 These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus WAS glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him. 17 The people therefore that WAS with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record. 21 The same came therefore to Philip, which WAS of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus. --MORE-- |
