JOSHUA 1 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not AFRAID, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. JOSHUA 5 13 And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his SWORD drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries? JOSHUA 6 21 And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the SWORD. JOSHUA 11 6 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not AFRAID because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire. 10 And Joshua at that time turned back, and took Hazor, and smote the king thereof with the SWORD: for Hazor beforetime was the head of all those kingdoms. 11 And they smote all the souls that were therein with the edge of the SWORD, utterly destroying them: there was not any left to breathe: and he burnt Hazor with fire. 12 And all the cities of those kings, and all the kings of them, did Joshua take, and smote them with the edge of the SWORD, and he utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the LORD commanded. 14 And all the spoil of these cities, and the cattle, the children of Israel took for a prey unto themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the SWORD, until they had destroyed them, neither left they any to breathe. JUDGES 8 10 Now Zebah and Zalmunna were in Karkor, and their hosts with them, about fifteen thousand men, all that were left of all the hosts of the children of the east: for there fell an hundred and twenty thousand men that drew SWORD. 20 And he said unto Jether his firstborn, Up, and slay them. But the youth drew not his SWORD: for he feared, because he was yet a youth. JUDGES 9 54 Then he called hastily unto the young man his armourbearer, and said unto him, Draw thy SWORD, and slay me, that men say not of me, A woman slew him. And his young man thrust him through, and he died. And David put them off him. 45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a SWORD, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. 47 And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with SWORD and spear: for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give you into our hands. 50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no SWORD in the hand of David. 51 Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his SWORD, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith.
