RUTH 1 1 Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehemjudah WENT to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons. 7 Wherefore she WENT forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters in law with her; and they WENT on the way to return unto the land of Judah. 19 So they two WENT until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi? 21 I WENT out full and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me? RUTH 2 3 And she WENT, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech. 18 And she took it up, and WENT into the city: and her mother in law saw what she had gleaned: and she brought forth, and gave to her that she had reserved after she was sufficed. And the child did minister unto the LORD before Eli the priest. 20 And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The LORD give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the LORD. And they WENT unto their own home. 1 SAMUEL 3 3 And ere the lamp of God WENT out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep; 5 And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child. 9 Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel WENT and lay down in his place. 1 SAMUEL 4 1 And the word of Samuel came to all Israel. Now Israel WENT out against the Philistines to battle, and pitched beside Ebenezer: and the Philistines pitched in Aphek. 7 And the Philistines were AFRAID, for they said, God is come into the camp. So Samuel rose up, and WENT to Ramah. 1 SAMUEL 17 4 And there WENT out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. 7 And the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam; and his spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield WENT before him. 11 When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly AFRAID. 12 Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehemjudah, whose name was Jesse; and he had eight sons: and the man WENT among men for an old man in the days of Saul. 13 And the three eldest sons of Jesse WENT and followed Saul to the battle: and the names of his three sons that WENT to the battle were Eliab the firstborn, and next unto him Abinadab, and the third Shammah. 15 But David WENT and returned from Saul to feed his father's sheep at Bethlehem. 20 And David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and WENT, as Jesse had commanded him; and he came to the trench, as the host was going forth to the fight, and shouted for the battle. 24 And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore AFRAID. 35 And I WENT out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. 41 And the Philistine came on and drew near unto David; and the man that bare the shield WENT before him. --MORE-- |
