NEHEMIAH 3 25 Palal the son of Uzai, over against the turning of the wall, and the tower which lieth out from the king's high house, that was by the court of the PRISON. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh. NEHEMIAH 12 39 And from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the PRISON gate. JOB 4 17 Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more PURE than his maker? JOB 8 6 If thou wert PURE and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous. JOB 11 4 For thou hast said, My doctrine is PURE, and I am clean in thine eyes. JOB 16 17 Not for any injustice in mine hands: also my prayer is PURE. JOB 25 5 Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not PURE in his sight. JOB 28 19 The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with PURE gold. PSALM 12 6 The words of the LORD are PURE words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. PSALM 18 26 With the PURE thou wilt shew thyself PURE; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward. PSALM 19 8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is PURE, enlightening the eyes. PSALM 21 3 For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of PURE gold on his head. PSALM 24 4 He that hath clean hands, and a PURE heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. PSALM 74 9 We see not our signs: there is no more any PROPHET: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long. PSALM 119 140 Thy word is very PURE: therefore thy servant loveth it. PSALM 142 7 Bring my soul out of PRISON, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me. PROVERBS 15 26 The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the PURE are pleasant words. PROVERBS 20 9 Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am PURE from my sin? 11 Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be PURE, and whether it be right. PROVERBS 21 8 The way of man is froward and strange: but as for the PURE, his work is right. PROVERBS 30 5 Every word of God is PURE: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. 12 There is a generation that are PURE in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. ECCLESIASTES 4 14 For out of PRISON he cometh to reign; whereas also he that is born in his kingdom becometh poor. ISAIAH 3 2 The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the PROPHET, and the prudent, and the ancient, ISAIAH 9 15 The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the PROPHET that teacheth lies, he is the tail. ISAIAH 24 22 And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the PRISON, and after many days shall they be visited. ISAIAH 28 7 But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the PROPHET have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment. ISAIAH 37 2 And he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests covered with sackcloth, unto Isaiah the PROPHET the son of Amoz. ISAIAH 38 1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the PROPHET the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live. ISAIAH 39 3 Then came Isaiah the PROPHET unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon. ISAIAH 42 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the PRISON, and them that sit in darkness out of the PRISON house. 22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in PRISON houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore. ISAIAH 53 8 He was taken from PRISON and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. ISAIAH 61 1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the PRISON to them that are bound; JEREMIAH 1 5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a PROPHET unto the nations. JEREMIAH 6 13 For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the PROPHET even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. JEREMIAH 8 10 Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the PROPHET even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. JEREMIAH 14 18 If I go forth into the field, then behold the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then behold them that are sick with famine! yea, both the PROPHET and the priest go about into a land that they know not. JEREMIAH 18 18 Then said they, Come and let us devise devices against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the PROPHET. Come, and let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words. JEREMIAH 20 2 Then Pashur smote Jeremiah the PROPHET, and put him in the stocks that were in the high gate of Benjamin, which was by the house of the LORD. JEREMIAH 23 11 For both PROPHET and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD. 28 The PROPHET that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD. 33 And when this people, or the PROPHET, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD. 34 And as for the PROPHET, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house. 37 Thus shalt thou say to the PROPHET, What hath the LORD answered thee? and, What hath the LORD spoken? JEREMIAH 25 2 The which Jeremiah the PROPHET spake unto all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, JEREMIAH 28 1 And it came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, and in the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azur the PROPHET, which was of Gibeon, spake unto me in the house of the LORD, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying, 5 Then the PROPHET Jeremiah said unto the PROPHET Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of the LORD, 6 Even the PROPHET Jeremiah said, Amen: the LORD do so: the LORD perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again the vessels of the LORD's house, and all that is carried away captive, from Babylon into this place. 9 The PROPHET which prophesieth of peace, when the word of the PROPHET shall come to pass, then shall the PROPHET be known, that the LORD hath truly sent him. 10 Then Hananiah the PROPHET took the yoke from off the PROPHET Jeremiah's neck, and brake it. 11 And Hananiah spake in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all nations within the space of two full years. And the PROPHET Jeremiah went his way. 12 Then the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the PROPHET, after that Hananiah the PROPHET had broken the yoke from off the neck of the PROPHET Jeremiah, saying, 15 Then said the PROPHET Jeremiah unto Hananiah the PROPHET, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie. 17 So Hananiah the PROPHET died the same year in the seventh month. --MORE-- |
