And there was war between ABIJAH and Jeroboam. 3 And ABIJAH set the battle in array with an army of valiant men of war, even four hundred thousand chosen men: Jeroboam also set the battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand chosen men, being mighty men of valour. 4 And ABIJAH stood up upon mount Zemaraim, which is in mount Ephraim, and said, Hear me, thou Jeroboam, and all Israel; 15 Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass, that God smote Jeroboam and all Israel before ABIJAH and Judah. 17 And ABIJAH and his people slew them with a great slaughter: so there fell down slain of Israel five hundred thousand chosen men. 19 And ABIJAH pursued after Jeroboam, and took cities from him, Bethel with the towns thereof, and Jeshanah with the towns thereof, and Ephraim with the towns thereof. 20 Neither did Jeroboam recover strength again in the days of ABIJAH: and the LORD struck him, and he died. 21 But ABIJAH waxed mighty, and married fourteen wives, and begat twenty and two sons, and sixteen daughters. 22 And the rest of the acts of ABIJAH, and his ways, and his sayings, are written in the story of the PROPHET Iddo. 2 CHRONICLES 14 1 So ABIJAH slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead. In his days the land was quiet ten years. 2 CHRONICLES 15 8 And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the PROPHET, he took courage, and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim, and renewed the altar of the LORD, that was before the porch of the LORD. 2 CHRONICLES 16 10 Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a PRISON house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time. 2 CHRONICLES 18 6 But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a PROPHET of the LORD besides, that we might enquire of him? 26 And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the PRISON, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I return in peace. 2 CHRONICLES 21 12 And there came a writing to him from Elijah the PROPHET, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of David thy father, Because thou hast not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah, 2 CHRONICLES 25 15 Wherefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a PROPHET, which said unto him, Why hast thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand? 16 And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, Art thou made of the king's counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the PROPHET forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel. 2 CHRONICLES 26 22 Now the rest of the acts of Uzziah, first and last, did Isaiah the PROPHET, the son of Amoz, write. 2 CHRONICLES 28 9 But a PROPHET of the LORD was there, whose name was Oded: and he went out before the host that came to Samaria, and said unto them, Behold, because the LORD God of your fathers was wroth with Judah, he hath delivered them into your hand, and ye have slain them in a rage that reacheth up unto heaven. 2 CHRONICLES 29 1 Hezekiah began to reign when he was five and twenty years old, and he reigned nine and twenty years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was ABIJAH, the daughter of Zechariah. 25 And he set the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, according to the commandment of David, and of Gad the king's seer, and Nathan the PROPHET: for so was the commandment of the LORD by his prophets. 2 CHRONICLES 32 20 And for this cause Hezekiah the king, and the PROPHET Isaiah the son of Amoz, prayed and cried to heaven. 32 Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his goodness, behold, they are written in the vision of Isaiah the PROPHET, the son of Amoz, and in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel. 2 CHRONICLES 35 18 And there was no passover like to that kept in Israel from the days of Samuel the PROPHET; neither did all the kings of Israel keep such a passover as Josiah kept, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 2 CHRONICLES 36 12 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD his God, and humbled not himself before Jeremiah the PROPHET speaking from the mouth of the LORD.
