ACTS 13 1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain PROPHETS and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 15 And after the reading of the law and the PROPHETS the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on. 27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the PROPHETS which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him. 40 Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the PROPHETS; ACTS 15 15 And to this agree the words of the PROPHETS; as it is written, 32 And Judas and Silas, being PROPHETS also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them. ACTS 16 23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into PRISON, charging the jailor to keep them safely: 24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner PRISON, and made their feet fast in the stocks. 26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the PRISON were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. 27 And the keeper of the PRISON awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the PRISON doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. 36 And the keeper of the PRISON told this saying to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace. 37 But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into PRISON; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out. 40 And they went out of the PRISON, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed. ACTS 19 33 And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews PUTTING him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have made his defence unto the people. ACTS 24 14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the PROPHETS: ACTS 26 10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in PRISON, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them. 22 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the PROPHETS and Moses did say should come: 27 King Agrippa, believest thou the PROPHETS? I know that thou believest. ACTS 28 23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the PROPHETS, from morning till evening. ROMANS 1 2 (Which he had promised afore by his PROPHETS in the holy scriptures,) ROMANS 3 21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the PROPHETS; ROMANS 11 3 Lord, they have killed thy PROPHETS, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. ROMANS 15 15 Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as PUTTING you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God, ROMANS 16 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the PROPHETS, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: 1 CORINTHIANS 9 24 Know ye not that they which run in a RACE run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 1 CORINTHIANS 12 28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily PROPHETS, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? are all PROPHETS? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? 1 CORINTHIANS 14 29 Let the PROPHETS speak two or three, and let the other judge. 32 And the spirits of the PROPHETS are subject to the PROPHETS. EPHESIANS 2 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and PROPHETS, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; EPHESIANS 3 5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and PROPHETS by the Spirit; EPHESIANS 4 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, PROPHETS; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 25 Wherefore PUTTING away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. COLOSSIANS 2 11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in PUTTING off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: 1 THESSALONIANS 2 15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own PROPHETS, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: 1 THESSALONIANS 5 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, PUTTING on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 1 TIMOTHY 1 12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, PUTTING me into the ministry; 2 TIMOTHY 1 6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the PUTTING on of my hands. HEBREWS 1 1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the PROPHETS, HEBREWS 11 31 By faith the harlot RAHAB perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace. 32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the PROPHETS: HEBREWS 12 1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the RACE that is set before us, JAMES 2 25 Likewise also was not RAHAB the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? JAMES 5 10 Take, my brethren, the PROPHETS, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. 1 PETER 1 10 Of which salvation the PROPHETS have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: 1 PETER 3 3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of PUTTING on of apparel; 19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in PRISON; 21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the PUTTING away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: 2 PETER 1 13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by PUTTING you in remembrance; 2 PETER 2 1 But there were false PROPHETS also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. --MORE-- |
