ISAIAH 40 9 O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not AFRAID; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! ISAIAH 41 5 The isles saw it, and feared; the ends of the earth were AFRAID, drew near, and came. 25 I have raised up one from the NORTH, and he shall come: from the rising of the sun shall he call upon my name: and he shall come upon princes as upon morter, and as the potter treadeth clay. ISAIAH 43 6 I will say to the NORTH, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; ISAIAH 44 8 Fear ye not, neither be AFRAID: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any. ISAIAH 49 12 Behold, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the NORTH and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim. ISAIAH 51 7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye AFRAID of their revilings. 12 I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be AFRAID of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; ISAIAH 57 11 And of whom hast thou been AFRAID or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid it to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not? ISAIAH 61 10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride ADORNETH herself with her jewels. JEREMIAH 1 8 Be not AFRAID of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. 13 And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is toward the NORTH. 14 Then the LORD said unto me, Out of the NORTH an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land. 15 For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the NORTH, saith the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah. JEREMIAH 2 12 Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly AFRAID, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 3 12 Go and proclaim these words toward the NORTH, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever. 18 In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the NORTH to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers. JEREMIAH 4 6 Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the NORTH, and a great destruction. JEREMIAH 6 1 O ye children of Benjamin, gather yourselves to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Bethhaccerem: for evil appeareth out of the NORTH, and great destruction. 22 Thus saith the LORD, Behold, a people cometh from the NORTH country, and a great nation shall be raised from the sides of the earth. JEREMIAH 10 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not AFRAID of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. 22 Behold, the noise of the bruit is come, and a great commotion out of the NORTH country, to make the cities of Judah desolate, and a den of dragons. JEREMIAH 13 20 Lift up your eyes, and behold them that come from the NORTH: where is the flock that was given thee, thy beautiful flock? JEREMIAH 16 15 But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the NORTH, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers. JEREMIAH 23 8 But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the NORTH country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land. JEREMIAH 25 9 Behold, I will send and take all the families of the NORTH, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations. 26 And all the kings of the NORTH, far and near, one with another, and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them. JEREMIAH 26 21 And when Jehoiakim the king, with all his mighty men, and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death: but when Urijah heard it, he was AFRAID, and fled, and went into Egypt; JEREMIAH 30 10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him AFRAID. JEREMIAH 31 8 Behold, I will bring them from the NORTH country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither. JEREMIAH 36 16 Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were AFRAID both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words. 24 Yet they were not AFRAID, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words. JEREMIAH 38 19 And Zedekiah the king said unto Jeremiah, I am AFRAID of the Jews that are fallen to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me. JEREMIAH 39 17 But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD: and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art AFRAID. JEREMIAH 41 18 Because of the Chaldeans: for they were AFRAID of them, because Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon made governor in the land. JEREMIAH 42 11 Be not AFRAID of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are AFRAID; be not AFRAID of him, saith the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand. 16 Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were AFRAID, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die. JEREMIAH 46 6 Let not the swift flee away, nor the mighty man escape; they shall stumble, and fall toward the NORTH by the river Euphrates. 10 For this is the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiate and made drunk with their blood: for the Lord GOD of hosts hath a sacrifice in the NORTH country by the river Euphrates. 20 Egypt is like a very fair heifer, but destruction cometh; it cometh out of the NORTH. 24 The daughter of Egypt shall be confounded; she shall be delivered into the hand of the people of the NORTH. 27 But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him AFRAID. JEREMIAH 47 2 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, waters rise up out of the NORTH, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is therein; the city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl. JEREMIAH 50 3 For out of the NORTH there cometh up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast. 9 For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the NORTH country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain. 41 Behold, a people shall come from the NORTH, and a great nation, and many kings shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth. JEREMIAH 51 48 Then the heaven and the earth, and all that is therein, shall sing for Babylon: for the spoilers shall come unto her from the NORTH, saith the LORD. EZEKIEL 1 4 And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the NORTH, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire. EZEKIEL 2 6 And thou, son of man, be not AFRAID of them, neither be AFRAID of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not AFRAID of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house. EZEKIEL 8 3 And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the NORTH; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy. 5 Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the NORTH. So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the NORTH, and behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy in the entry. 14 Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD's house which was toward the NORTH; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz. --MORE-- |
